Anyway, Lucas Arts is a horrible company that will probably cancel LBA3 right before the development is finished.

Exact Chaosfish !!!
*fully agrees*

To me a good company for LBA 3 would be stg like Atari or Ubi Soft, or Electronic Arts, as they did for LBA1 & 2.

I wouldn't bet on Electronic Arts either. Ubisoft, most likely, although after BGE's sales I doubt they'd sponsor a project like LBA3.

EA or Activision is a good choice as they published both LBA games and is probably 2 of the biggest game companies ever

Woah, woah! I think we're being way to ungrateful to companies here. It's not like Lucas Arts haven't brought us some of the best games in history. They have. They've created so much timeless games, which won't ever get old. For example Grim Fandango, I still think that it looks kinda neat because of the simply BREATHTAKING atmosphere, with all that comes with it and style of design. I don't even need to tell you about the other games, right? I'm sure most of you love (or have loved) atleast one of them. If they vomit up houndreds of junktitles on the market now, that sure as hell would not be enough for me to dirty talk their name. But now the thing is that they don't make alot of junk. Sure the official games for the Star Wars movies really suck, but that's for granted. But I've had sooo much mindblowing gaming experiences, even from the new games. I mean, we've got the Jedi Knight-series, which I loved. Mayhap that the story in Accademy wasn't the greatest, but the gameplay was. And I guess that's what they were aiming for. We have Star Wars Galaxies which is probably one of the absolute best MMORPG's out there, with all the kinds of oppertunitys you'd want. And yes, Star Wars is popular and Lucas Arts bets on safe cards to make as much money as possible, but I really do belive that the teams behind the games really feel passionate about it.
The same goes for many other companies. And yeah, Lucas Arts probly is a really really dumb company to turn to for LBA3, but no shittietalk :<

Correction, the team that worked for Lucas Arts brought us Grim Fandango. The executives have fired that team. They also layed off all of the people in it.

Is that team still alive? Psychonauts was the biggest underated game since LBA1. Seriously, a game like that deserved 1 million sales, not 100,000.

Theres seomthing ironic about Lucasarts saying that- maybe if they took the same tack when it comes to constantly editing the original Star Wars trilogy?

I don't know where you live, but in US they had TV commercials for it!

Even the jocks in my school heard of it (some bought it). Why that game didn't sell as highly as it did beats me.

El Muerte: Sweetness. If Tim Schafer is still in the team, I'm sure the next game will be mega great.

Yeah, Psychonauts was great. Allthough, I think that most people has a hard time too notice what's so great about it. I mean, if you'd take away all the dialouges, character depth and completly erase the whole atmosphere, the game wouldn't be as fun at all. And from my experience, not everyone is even able to see those things.

lol

I guess if you do the same with, for example, Lord of the Rings you would get the same result.

If you erase the atmosphere then you'd have to erase the whole game since that's what makes the atmosphere in the first place.

HOWEVER!

In addition to all those nice things Samuel said, I think the level designs also contributed a lot. The Milk Man's and Napoleon's lvls were awsome!!!!

LucasArts... LBA? Heh, I must admit that my two favourite video games heroes are Twinsen and Guybrush Threepwood, I think both of them are similar in some odd way, lol. But maybe thats just me.

I dunno about LucasArts making an LBA3 though. Don't wanna just rush a random company into making a sequel to a game they might not even have hearda about.
