Lba 3

Would you prefer a "popular" game that many people would like but that would disappoint fans a little (that way there could be remakes for the previous games as well as LBA 4); or a great game that only fans would be able to appreciate but would end the series because not many people would buy it?

Personally, I don't like classic games that become "mainstream", like Final Fantasy, and the companies start making them just for the money.

Mainstream is a very narrow term, it often when applied to the games market means 16-21, male, gun loveing football players

While they may be the group that buys the most games, they are not the largest market. The largest market is the currently untapped group of "non-gamers"...and most non-gamers see games as nothing but pointless violence and repedative actions.

In a wider market, games with a nice story, characters and thoughtfull non-repedative actions will be big salers.

In short, adventure games like LBA are before there time

Yes, but I would it also to be like BG&E, more modern, and with more emphasis on charachter development through the game.

By no means I want a game made to make money, arcade playing blockheads keep your hand off LBA!

Even if keeping LBA3 from going mainstream meant no LBA4 (which I don't think anyone's actually expecting anyway) or remakes etc., I would still definitely have it in the style of the previous games.

I second BG&E.

To me that felt a like an updated LBA.
Obviously, the paceing of the game was a bit different..but the atmosphere of the world felt very like it, imo.

I don't know. BG&E had a cyberpunk atmosphere in it.

third, if the look and feel were exactly like bg&e (but then in the twinsun universe) that would be pretty sweet.

LBA had a much more open environement that BG&E had, I don't want to lose that. And ofcourse BG&E didn't have a lot of person to person interaction.

Well, I suppose if Darkflame is just referencing the artistic look, then maybe. Although it felt like BG&E had too many glow effects.

Are gun loving football players the biggest buyers of games? Sounds bizarre
