Ok, anyway, I see no reason why the steps would be different in LBA1 than in LBA2. There would be a way to check if they're the same but I'm too lazy to do it.

I think that the islands in LBA 1 look bigger because you never could explore an entire island. You could see on the holomap how big an island was, but because you could only enter a few places, i had the idea that a lot of places were left out making the island a lot more mysterious. In lba2, you could explore the entire island. Desert Island was a mystery in LBA 1 (just 2 outdoor scenes), while in LBA 2 it was just one big plain. But since you could explore every corner, the island feels smaller since you know the ins and outs.

Just my thought

That's what I meant, but you probably said it way clearer.

LBA2 is bigger, that's a fact, Fred says it.
As for originality, that's subjective, but I think there's more quirky humor in LBA2. There are more characters and they are more unique and funny.
Take Baldino for example, in LBA1 he looks like a grobo like any other. In LBA2 he is a whole special character. And I think that's true for every character in the game.

lba2 didn't even come close to the experience of lba1....even the architecture of the houses was a lot more stylish. And lba2 hardly introduced new gameplay to lba1.

So original? I do not think so. LBA1...now that was a groundbreaking game standing out. Lba 2 was just more of the same but then other games had caught up with that.

still, both are fantastic though.

Right, firstly LBA was more original than LBA2- you can tell from looking at the number in the title.

As for sixe issue- I tend to take less time to complete LBA2, even though it has more areas. LBA1 had more backtracking, LBA1 also had periods where there was no clear sense where you had to go next, so you just explored a bit till you found something. LBA1 was also more difficult and as a result takes longer to complete.
