For LBA3...

When LBA3 is made, would you prefer it to include brand new music? Or maybe a remix of the original soundtrack?
I seriously love some of the 'tunes on LBA2 and would love to hear them remixed for a new LBA game, that'd be awesome!
Thoughts, anyone?

A new, bigger OST. Maybe with some sly additions of remixed old tunes.

It's no fun if its all the same.

We need more! New tunes! But keeping the same marvelous touch. Ofcourse.

And btw, a bit offtopic, but I just had the feeling that, when LBA3 comes out, at first people won't like it, will think they ruined the LBA saga, that it sucks and all. And later everyone will think it's just perfect. Weird feeling..

The mentioning of the legend or Sendell has since been forbidden by Dr. FunFrock. Meanwhile... a young quetch named Twinsen has been having strange dreams...

I agree with Pandy.
I think that a new soundtrack with some old songs that have been 'Mixed would be great.
Thats kinda what I was gettin' at.
And yeah SpaceGuitarKid thats normally the reaction when a game franchise has been brought back, s'what I think will happen anywho.
*Sigh* Fanboys..

I gave my opinion on this here. So, yes. Include old themes. But certainly have new ones as well. Like with the music in Star Wars.

Well, LBA 2 used some melodies from LBA 1 (like the theme), so I guess some could be copied to LBA 3 as well. Of course, there have to be new melodies too, but the theme is a must.

It used the theme, but nothing else. There should be more...

That's the case with most sequels though. Star Wars being the most recent example I can think of that most people will have seen.

I mean, we can see it in LBA too. LBA 1 was perfect imo. LBA2 wasn't as good. It wasn't as dark as the original, the music wasn't as.... magical. The enemies weren't as good either. I don't know why, but it seemed more childish. Not to say it wasn't a great game though.

I hope LBA3 isn't what destroys the saga.

I'll give you a few hints:

Opening of LBA2: "Hi, my name is Twinsen! I'm the hero of this adventure!"

I prefer new music, and maybe a lba theme redux

anyway, it all depends on the environment the music has to fit to.
I think it's best we leave this to Phil Vachey, I think he would be the best person to decide that

New themes for levels. Reuse the classic LBA theme, or at the very least slighlty remix it (Like in LBA2). But besides that, new themes. Except maybe for certain classic locations, if they return, like the Temple Of Bu.

No. Remember the end of LBA1? That room with stars and shizzle where the Sendells are? Thats what the inside of the planet looks like, I guess.

I didn't say you can't enjoy it. I enjoyed LBA2 very much too. But it wasn't as good as LBA1 imo.... gameplay or music-wise.

Temple of Bu [2]
Sendell [2]

maybe the temple was first in the sendell domain and they moved it at a later stange, or something

Perhaps. By all accounts it doesn't make sense...

I guess they didn't think people like us would nit-pick all the small details

Oh come on, that's just an artsy thing, someone made those stars to make it look pretty... It has nothing to do with the plot imo. Probably they needed a dark background.

if you take a good look you'll notice that that image is identical to the LBA1\Relentless box art, they just changed the background

Hmmm... no. They have different prospectives, but it surely is the same 3D model.

LBA3 should have plenty of new themes (if Funfrock returns I'd love to hear a definitive theme for him), but old themes could also return where appropriate. The main LBA theme should obviously be there, and if the Mosquibees are in this one there could be a remix of Honey Bee, for example.
