First Duke Nukem Forever Screenie

3D Realms George Broussard says

I guess I'll reconfirm what I said last night. That's an in game, real-time shot of Duke standing in a random hallway. It was really done as a small teaser for a job ad on Gamasutra.com. Nothing more.

I'm glad some of you enjoyed it, and we'll show more later as we start to wake from our slumber and decide how best to show the game off.

Judging by the size of that pic, it's going to be a portable game.

LOL. soz couldnt help myself :P

I can imagine all the people who will apply for that position, i mean c'mon 3D Realms used to create awesome games, these days they survive due to the royalties off their engines, do they still know how to make games? up 2 todays standards?
Better not turn out like a serious version of serious sam.

They missed out on the $500k bonus to completing the game b4 christmas 06 or 05, but lets hope its a good game, easily one of the most talked about, forgotten and talked about games out there.

I believe what made DUKE3D a success was its real-world themed maps (cinema, adult club, shopping mall, train station), people liked to explore and interact with these familar environments, gave the game that extra dimension. I hope they follow a similar path with dnf.

Bender: r u really from the Gold Coast? Im in Brisbane.

3DRealms has helped on other games, that's where they earned money in the last couple of years. They don't earn anything from their engines (which would be TED and Build)

Man, this game takes forever to make...
I nevre actually liked the first one, played it a bit, but I was never much into fps games(the first Medal Of Honour being an exception).

I love how they remade these old games to look newer - like the high res textures/models pack for Duke3D makes that game awesome all over again

actualy, im pretty sure its faked now.
Have people looked closer at the screenshot:

It might be from a real advert, but ingame?
Its a frelling plastic action figure!
The glass's are welded to his head, and the figures arnt seperated at all.

Have the development team got so deseperate?
Also, does that look like a hallway? looks far more like computer screens in the background.
