Dinofly LBA Games!!!

WOW!
There are heaps of LBA games being made!
LBA1 and 2 are the only ones REALLY produced yet but I can see strong Twinsen fans have been dedicated anough to start working on designing and creating more LBA games. Of course, these games aren't made from the original company 'Activision' but I'm the the one doing all the work on these games so I don't know what they will be like. I'm sure the creators are using some type of engine or something-orather to make these games look proffesional.
My only concern is......There is quite alot of games being designed. I know, I know, the more the merrier but people might get confused with lots of games out and some might not continue from each other.

For example:
LBA games in the making are:

LBA Prequel
LBA the Great Rebellion
LBA X
LBA Lupin Island Destiny
and LBA3.

That's alot guys!
By the way are there any more i have missed.
I also realise there is a LBA racing cart game or something in the making and I know there is a game rather like a 'Mario' setup called Twinsen Pilot Episode.

This has been said many times before, but even though there are many sequels, prequels and others being made, Fred seems to like it that he still has many fans making non-profit fan games.

1st: Activision isn't the makers. That's Adeline. Activision was just the distributer for the USA, Virgin was for the Oceania region and Electronic Arts was for Europe.

2nd: We're not sure if LbaX is still ok... It's a bit odd to say the least.

3rd: We still don't have enough information from Axx to say that LBA3 is being made ATM.

4th: Why is this in Site and forum? Something like this should be in General.

Allow me to be mean:

LBA Prequel
LBA the Great Rebellion
LBA X - Dead
LBA Lupin Island Destiny - You can consider this as dead since Augustin have not said that this project is going to be very small, and it has to be that if it will ever be released.
and LBA3 - Unclear. It doesn't inform us on it's progressing.

I ever wondered why LBAremake isn't mentioned at any of those lists i mean the game was on a higher status then much of the other Fan-games.
Or is the Projekt dead and nobody told me?

why dont they just keep on one game at a time instead of making loads of games at once it would be much quicker and they could get round to all of them?

Because nearly every game is made on another reason or from other people and maybe coded in a totally different programming laguage.
See Proto: everyone wants to make an own LBA-game but not everyone has all tools to make one.
So those guys who have them start the work and mostly lead the project.
For example:
LBAremake is made with a 3d game-editor
LBAprequel and LBA-TGR are made on the original LBA1 engine.
It's nearly impossible to combine those projects because they have totally
different ways for programming the game.
I think that's why there are so many Fan-game-projects on the MBN.

Chaosfish - Re-read my post, I made a bad list but it should not be so hard to read it. I didn't comment Prequel and TGR at all in that post. But I agree I should made a better list .

leoboe - Yea, I forgot to add LBARemake, it certainly is big and has probably most shared progressing (even though it feels messy with all work in one thread) and maybe have came most far. But that is only maybe, LBA Prequel has officially announced to not try to share what they made so far, since it will be ruining the story.

leoboe - What protopack means is not that you should like pass on the textures you've made to each other, he more means that you should just work on one single project at the time. Either way what you said makes sense anyway.

There is a saying, "shared responsibility is no responsibility".

to me all projects with no demo are inexistent and all projects with a released demo older than 6 months are dead so there

Why do you say that LBA: Lupin Island Destiny is a dead project?! We had made the grids of a complete Island! And the story is quite advanced. I don't really know why you consider it a dead project.

Erm, would you mind checking your links for the projects then?

I clicked the LBAPrequal one to see if there was an update and got one of those sucky "Guess who got rid of the website and didn't tell you" advertising sites.

In fact, why don't all the folks who are making fanart in the format of free computer games put a quick update on the status of their respective projects here? You know, use this thread to build anticipation and do a bit of free advertising, as well as let us muggles know which ones actualy are dead projects?

As someone already said, we know about the problem and are currently addressing it. The website will be restored as soon as possible.

Rest assured, the project is far from dead (or I wouldn't be sitting here writing the next chapter of the story now, would I?)

BTW - FTW, the Prequel is fully active, and has been for the last six months. Right now, Alex is working on some school things, as is Zink, so they are not involved as much as usual, but they are still contributing and are the project leaders. I'm not going to speak for the rest of the team, but I am quite active in the script, which is nearly complete.

The project is alive and well, and some nice things should be expected in about a month or so from now.

I also forgot to add LBA-the Lost Chapter and LBAremake to my list at the top, whether they are dead or not, i don't know. Although it seems there are a few that have died and I agree with Protopack that there should be one main project, not heaps. The projects I think should and I can see happening are LBAPrequel, LBAtheGreatRebellion and LBA3. I take it LBAprequel is taking place in a scenario/story before LBA1 (obviously) and LBA3 takes place after LBA2 (yet again obvious.) I'm pretty sure that The Great Rebellion takes place after LBA1 but before LBA2. Am I right?

Also very quickly, Sebz you said that activision doesn't produce/make LBA, well i'm sitting here in front of my cd case of Twinsen's Oddysey and there is both Activision AND Adeline on the case, obviously stating they both work together or something.

Adeline created the game.
Activision were the distributors.
On my copy, it was Virgin Interactive who released it.

There is a VERY big difference between the two companies.
