LBA 1 & 2 Source Code released!

I had to log in back here again after seeing this. 2.21, the devs behind the upcoming LBA3 have just released the source code for LBA 1 & 2 on their blog. Turns out, they're looking into releasing the source code for Time Commando as well!

Uhh, that's really cool!

As I am currently learning Java, it would be wonderful to try and translate the source code of LBA 1 and 2 into an OpenSource Java version of the game.

Woah... so many old MBN names returning... CrazyBee and even F2bnp.

Also, as for reading ASM code, I can say based on my recent experience that knowing the language isn't enough, you have to know it in details, with what flags an instruction affects, etc., to be able to fully understand it. So understanding the ASM code well enough to be able to translate it to something higher-level, is going to be a lot of work.

This is great news.

It's something that may restart interest in this site and forums.

It certainly did for me!

Yess, isn't nostalgia a beautiful thing? the bonds that old timers have here shall always be alive in future conversations, we don't need to turn this place in a "read-only archive".
