Level of magics

for LBA1 it was
Yellow:Get your tunic
Green:Get the book of bu
Red:Get the medalian
Fire:Get the clear water

for LBA2 it was
Yellow:Get your tunic and medallian
Green:Get the diploma
Red:Get ball of sendall
Fire:Get the 4 key fragments

Now i'm wondering is HOW the clear water and key fragments grant you the last level the items all make sense except for the last ones, and i'm wondering how in the world do the last two items grant you the final power

Wasn't that just a reaction between the standing stone and the water?
Otherwise, you could also assume getting the first three magic levels is done by acquiring these objects, and the last one is gained by simply experiencing so much in-game that you power level raises on itself.

The clear water is clearly a powerful artifact of Sendel- thats why it interacts with the stone in that way. That makes it one of the most powerful magic level raising things on Twinsun.

For the key fragments- it's not so much the fragments that give you the final level of magic- it's having the key that opens up the sacred temple on celebration island, and is thus pretty powerful and magical (one of the most magical items on Zeelich).

One of the others being the Emperor's Sword, right?

Oh, it reminded me. Don't forget about those gems in the gem mines. The gems are so immensely powerful that nobody even knows. The gazogem made of it doesn't just enhance your protopack, they DUPLICATE it!!! Go see for yourself if you open the behavior menu while wearing the super jetpack; it shows you can choose the protopack too.

(just a random joke)

In LBA2 one level is more worth than one in LBA1?

What does this medallion even do, anyway? It's never actually used in the game.

In LBA1, it is what gives you the magic. Your tunic isn't that very powerful, it simply stores magic. In LBA2 you get the tunic with the medallion both at the same time, eventhough in 1 they separately gave you two different raises.

According to something in the museum (forgot what, sorry), the medallion gave Twinsen magical powers:
"...thanks to (...) and the medallion, and the magical powers it gave me, (...)" (or something very similar)

I think it's from the opening video of the game. Does this text appear anywhere?

You're right, it's the intro. "Thanks to the medallion, and the magical powers she gave me,"

So you're told right on before the game starts that the medallion is what gives you the magical powers (and presumably not the tunic).

No, I've replayed the intro and it says this:

"And that's a portrait of Sendell, our benevolent godess, who breaths live into everything. (... long pause...) And thanks to the medallion, and the magical powers she gave me, (...)"

I guess a "medallion" is considered a female word or something.

'She' applies to Sendell here.

Couldn't it be that LBA1's final magic level is LBA2's first ?

Maybe in the world of LBA there are lots of items that give you more magic skill like studying it?

Might be what was intended, Sendell is a she after all, but it would be an odd way of phrasing it, wouldn't it? Grammatically "she" refers to the medallion in that sentence, if I'm not mistaken.

That's a very likely statement actually. Twinsen has grown more mature in the time between 1 and 2, so when he took off his tunic, all the magic it stored must have come back as soon as you put it back on. It's not like you lose all your abilities when you take the tunic off; the museum proves that. It says you're able to speak to the animals on Twinsun because of the Book of Bú. He gained that ability during LBA1. Though the magic in LBA2 isn't that much powerful as if it were stronger than he previously had. Are Zeelichians that tough?

How could that be? He has always been the chosen one.
I think "now that" refers to the beginning of LBA1, where Twinsen starts dreaming about the end of the world, which is caused by Sendell.

All of his life, Twinsen had been the chosen one. His ancestors were the chosen one before him, and he became the next as soon as he was born. It is not him, it is his whole family line of chosen ones. It never starts, he just is.

Don't worry, that can't happen
I've done a lot of things myself that could be considered as such.. collecting challenges and bugs, bug exploits, rebug exploits (bugs that occur by using other bugs), to name a few.

Yup, it's possible to reach red magic level straight from home, before reaching any other level. You should check out my challenges thread for more of those tricks.

Talking about the four different magic levels in LBA2, there is a challenge for all of them. You could try the RedB4Green and NoRed challenges, or try to prove the FireOnly or NoMagic challenges (still found impossible as of yet).

Were you able to finish the game when you got your red level before you got the tunic, or did you not try? It's fun, you should give it a go
