Invision free uses vB. well you go into user CP and look down the left, click Edit Avatar, and down the bottom should be Use custome avatar

When v3 was installed the new users could use a custom avatar, but I think El change this like v2.
I think if you take the avatar, you wouldn't change again a custon avatar.
