The Shins rule! And their albums keep getting better. They're also on the Garden State soundtrack, which helped them become famous, I think.

Yeah, I got to know them through Garden State. It's every sane man's wet dream to meet Natalie Portman letting you hear The Shins on her big headphones.

I prefer the first two albums to the third one. Last one is a bit over-produced, I still totally love it though. Seen them live twice. Probably in my top 5 artists.

Just listening to Neutral Milk Hotel for the first time.
In the mean time all I'm hearing is a guy strumming a guitar and singing slightly funnily. Maybe it will improve with time.
