Probably some internet series then. Imho the light and camera style looks like sliders or something of the sort/time (although I know it's not them cause you said no tv series).

Allthough, funny enough, now you say that, I see what you mean.
It does look very sliderz ish from that image..maybe its the lighting , or the type of street or something.

Hey now I notice it too. It's a perfect Sliders scene. No people around, so the blue portal can form about two meters above the ground (right at the center of the camera) without causing havoc. Queen, Wade, Rembrandt Brown and the Professor falling out of it, rolling on the ground a bit and making an obscure reference to the previous world they were in. Wade taunting the professor with a snarky comment, and Rembrandt cries about wanting to go home. Just as they stand up, something odd attracts their attention.

yeah, I'm amazed it didn't last longer given the concept.

As far as flexible concepts go, it ranks higher even then Stargate (anyworld) and Dr Who (and world and time).

The first season was Top of the Top of the Top. One can say, Lostlike quality. Seasons 2 and 3 was cool but not as much as season 1.

Seasons 4-6 were an abomination and a disgrace. It wasn't Sliders, and whoever made it must be eliminated.

The worst thing about it was...what the fuck! After several episodes of having the watchers wondering what happened to Wade, Queen made an casual comment about her being abducted by aliens who are (!!!!!) raping her as they speak, and we never got to see or hear from or about her ever again. That was disgusting and fucked up. And I was like, a kid. So it made it worse.

never saw anything past the 3rd season.
It was never Lost quality, mind you. It just has some stand out great eppisodes (the running-man like one, for instance), but its ongoing storys were never that good.

I really liked this episode, it's the one single episode I remember almost everything about. I actually ponder about this episode till this very day. (honest; last time I thought about it was just a few days ago.) Even had several dreams about it.

Either way, good eppisode, allthough killing 6 people a week isnt going to have any significant effect on the population of america.

* Its roughly 45 minutes long in total,
* One of the 4 main writters did an eppisode of Fringe
* One of the stars appeared in an eppisode of Lost...once.
* Both iTunes,IMDB and even Time magazine have misslabled it as a tv series in various awards and catagorys.
* It was mostly a family written production.
* And despite my searching, I cant find any connection to Sliderz in the cast or crew whatsoever :P
