I've seen in a video that you can get the proto pack right at the beginning of lba2 with the jump save bug, therefore being able to get the pearl of incandescence right after. I was wondering how this affects the gameplay and if there are other ways to modify the game order and unlock things before their time...

Yes, there are a lot of ways where you can use the Jump Save Bug to go to areas that you're not supposed to go to.

well the ones i know is proto-pack and go to zeelich, there is also the red ball level but it dont use JSB at all.
also you dont even need protopack to get the pearl. look how to here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2w7jB...eature=related at 2:11 he enters the cave and get it.

It's easy. Just save in the middle of a jump and load the game, then press ESC very quickly (otherwise it won't work) and save again (or just press S). Repeat these steps, and you will get higher with each step.

The important part about the JSB is to save right after Twinsen takes off from the ground. If he has already reached the peak of his jump or starts to fall again, it's too late and won't work.

since i got lba2 working on vista 32bit the jsb didnt worked anymore.
