Hello and Thanks!!, i'm from Argentina, so.. my english is very poor....
emm i've use 3D Max 9... also, i made the Twinsen's House on a 3D interactive Model (first person, like Counter-Strike) with a software call Virtual Building Explorer, but i don't know how upload it to the forum |

Indeed very nice model.
The head is amazing, completely the same as the original. The only thing I would improve are the hands.

It's a bit hard to say, but yes I think even compared to those it could be too high poly.
I think modern games handle around 40-60 thousand triangles of geometry for a character, while a round smoothed mesh like this can easily be multiple hundreds of thousands of triangles. Again - super hard to say without seeing wireframes, but looking at how smooth the face looks it's not looking very game-ready. (The Twinsen I'm working on in my thread for instance is more than a million triangles, and that's just the face. The usual workflow is to "bake" back those details on an optimized mesh before putting it ingame)

Sorry for reactivate an old topric, but I'm looking for a Twinsen 3D model to try to print it in 3D, Bishop's models seems to be cool, but I can't open .max format. Does anyone have them in other format (.obj, .3DS, STL ...) ? Thank's !! ![]() |
