LBA 2 protection spell bug/glithch

Hi,

Years ago (98' i suppose ) when i was playing LBA2 with my mom we find out weird bug.

As four or five year old boy I'd love to checking every item in items menu and accidentally clicked memory viewer while shield spell was activate and running out
and then skipped all cinematic. To our surprise, we cannot throw magic balls and after checking few things find out we have way more magic than should.
It was very useful for using protection spell for longer time, after a bit of time using this bug we found another feature of this situation, when magic gets to level
when it can fit in window of behavior selection but still above maximum limit, throwing magic ball spawns random amount of keys.

Do anyone met with this bug/glitch playing ?

That's actually really interesting. It's because the Key value is stored in the byte directly after the magic points value.

What is going on with moms and bugs. This story reminds me of something that happened to me. Years ago when I created a game in flash (r.i.p.) with a friend of mine. And even after hours and hours of testing and more testing we never encountered a bug. Not even a small one. 1 min into the game his mom bugged the whole game. We tried, but we could not re-create it.

Aaaah, so you don't actually spawn keys, just throwing the ball overwrites the number of keys you have...

This is a really awesome bug.
