Due to the recent unpleasantness here I decided to start keeping the forum rules just as they are mentioned here above by kitari. Appearently it seems needed, so just a reminder.
Needless to say I also like to remind you that links or promoting to hate speech or other hate propaganda will not be allowed.

If - from now on - stuff doesnt comply with said rules, please just report it. So please do not report discussions from before this topic.

Also inviting you to walk through the rules and if a rule should in your eyes be otherwise, or something needs added, or dropped, please say it here.

I also think it's a good idea and hope it won't get too annoying for you. The rules look good to me. Technically the "do not derail a thread" rule would rather belong in a "Tips for being a good MBN citizen" section, as I think at the moment we all derail threads and the "Your posts will be deleted (or moved)" bit doesn't seem accurate. But I don't mind that much. I think it's important that the "No personal attacks" section matches how you want to enforce it, because I think it's important that the rules there are clear and not arbitrary.

I'm quite sure A_LIPSTICK violates this rule on an even bigger scale - her signature is a giant collection of quotes intended at making people look ridiculous.

i think I liked to keep that thread alive, although it's hard to decide that on a thread by thread basis. The problem is that by deleting post, you delete an entire conversation, which I don't really like.

There should be a way to delete the contents of your posts without deleting threads or something
