It would be great if he said officially, that both:
a) the both games become freeware, and b) he has the full rights to them (or at least the rights to state the a point) And for hosting, we can also use BitTirrent, EMule, etc.

I suppose that we need some "black market" LBA site that "no one knows about *wink*".

This is definitely good news.
I especially like the fact that we might get an official statement that we can, finally, distribute all versions of LBA ourselves. As freeware. Also... El's idea about making images with a proper installer, documentation and such, for both games, are great. I'd more than happily seeds, as much as possible, if someone were to throw up a couple of torrents. Which I personally think would be a great method.

Indeed great news, its good to have Fred working in a exciting project as he said. I don't mind its not LBA3, if he can actually give his work on this project we'll surelly like it, and thats what we need. Something great made by him.
Axx about the Lost game, it was only a joke ![]() About the redistribution of the game, I think its best to ask him first and than, the better way to allow the redistribution is here in MBN. Many people came here for it and mush more will come. We all, at our LBA fan pages (including project websites) can have links directly to MBN so we can download the same versions with all that features El said about the documentation etc..

purhaps a Portable App could be made of LBA+LBAwin - a simple removal of the cd-check would be in order though. (of course, not to go on that site, I'm just showing that as an example to what a Portable App is)

Does this mean I can now sell copies of the LBA1/2 CD at school?
I once brought my LBA2 to school and everyone was like: cool game! Are you serious it was made in 1997, zan you make a copy, please I'll give you R20($3-4)! And all I could say is: Sorry, I'm dedicated to this game and I don't have the heart to make illegal copies of it. PS: What I said there sounds stupid because I was speaking Afrikaans and not English ![]() I'll be a millionare if I can sell copies of it!

rumors indicate he's about to absolutely upgrade their game popcorn to a new cross-genre adventure game. it's about the quest for the meaning of pong. and you have to find out just that to be able to escape all 300 levels.
expect mindblowing 3d graphics...
