Whats Missing? New Film/TV picture quiz!

My first guess was "Children of man". And the missing part would be the David. But I checked and now know its not anywhere near that.

I thought it was interesting though, that some people thought it was from other Kubrick work.

To be honest, I'm quite supprised, as I thought the scene was parodied/referanced enough for it to be familer to even people who havnt seen the film.

Geez, nice one ! I've just seen a part of it, it certainly felt kubrickish but I didn't expect it to be from 2001 a Space Odyssey, gotta put it on my list of movies to watch. I'm surprised you were the only one to know though, it's a classic...

Cant say its familer. Havnt seen many black and white movies that arnt comadys.
From the high contrast and lighting it looks a bit like PI, but then the dacor is all wrong, and I dont remember any scene like that.

It's not PI, and it's not Aronofsky too. It's the only black and white movie of this dude, rest is color, verging on kitsch sometimes too.

The film has cult status. This scene was shot with high speed camera. I understand it's hard to guess. I'll give some more hints later.
