Sound patch for lba 2 on vista/xp?

Does anybody have one?
I just got the game back and am dying to hear the music again!
The graphics are now better as I've fixed it all up with Patch.exe.
However, the music has become a problem.
Obviously, the sound on this Laptop isn't on the list of Sound Cards on the game. So i fiddled with my sound (Realtek High Definition Audio) and managed to get the sound working.
NOW, menu music works, all the music works until you move Twinsen 2 steps. Then, all sound cuts out.
I JUST WANT MY LBA2 MUSIC!

This isn't a common problem.

Have you tried both playing the game on Vista and XP? You could also try using DosBox emulator, then the sound will probably work. Also the music is available for download as single tracks, if you would like.

Okay....
The patch for the game graphics worked on Vista on my laptop, but this computer has XP and the patch doesnt seem to be working. I'm still getting a ton of lines over the top of the screen and no picture regardless of the patch or compatability mode.

I might have to use DOS.
I'll get my brother to help me.

Don't use Dos. Use DosBox. There's a guide here.
(Remember to use the version without the graphics patch when using Dosbox, or it won't work.)

Same thing happens to me. the lba2 game and patch worked perfectly on winxp, but now that i installed it on vista everything works fine until starting or continuing a game (sound menu works ok), where the sound shuts down after a few seconds. btw i can run it on dosbox but i dont like it cuz there are no character voices

No voices might be due to a mistake in your configuration. Edit the file LBA2.CFG with notepad and see whether a language is actually chosen for the voices or not.

Hey! new guy here who just loves this game... I downloaded a .RAR file that doesn't contain the speech files (.VOX) and I mean one of the most classic parts of LBA2/Twinsens odyssey is the sound, though all of my sound works, I wondered if someone can give me a link to download the .VOX files?.. rly PLZ... I love this game and I want the voices!

I have exactly the same problem as the first listing for my vista. Any solution as yet? I can't get this whole DosBox. I have everything except sounds cut out after 5 seconds. Any help would be much appreciated.

Looks like we need a video tutorial for the DOSBox, it is a wonderful emulator that runs the game better than any patch on vista/7, I could try making a tutorial

That would be very handy, although does running it through DosBox create any form of lag or inconvenience? My Twinsen runs so well then 5 seconds into it the sound just leaves me. And I don't know how to run that patch for the car and sound as it is a .dll file on my computer

Yes, You need some power to emulate, although LBA is just SVGA (620x480)
