Hi all,

I'm participating in a film music composer competition and I'd love to share with you my efforts! There were two task - to illustrate (score? is that the word?) given animation the way you wanted (had no sound at all), and illustrate a part of the Get Low movie with Robert Duvall speaking. Why I write this? Because I think the tunes came out really good and I'm bloody proud of them!

Wow, amazing work. I loved the way you did in the animation clip, its really impressive.
The movie clip is also great, but I enjoyed the animation most. I think its because the diversity you put in that clip.

Hey there, fellow musician!

I have watched the animation. Very good it is, indeed!
Have you created the sound FX too? or just the music?

If you did the FX as well, hehe, is it your voice at the start?
If there's any criticism in regard to the sound effects, I'd say it lacks some sounds... could have more (like the moment the chocolate milk is poured into the bowl, which is an important moment since the whole animation is about what goes on in it, etc).

As for the music, it is great, very immersive, really brings you into the scene, throwing you into all of the mood changes (exploration mood, then a fear of the unknown, etc) really well. I don't know how you compose, but the orchestration is quite realistic too.

By the way, how did you go in the competition?

Yeah, all sound in the animation's done by me. Well, maybe not exactly, cause it ain't my voice humming Star Wars theme in the beginning, just some child sample I'd cut and pasted the way I though it fits. And yes, I agree - could have dropped in some more fx but had no time, because I'd learnt about the competition just days before submissions deadline.

great work, especially in the animation. I thought the music in the movie sequence wasn't really fit for the moment, but I gotta say that I was particularly impressed my the animation sequence, music was perfect and greatly timed
