On my last post, I asked wheather you people thought LBA or LBA2 was better..I was surprised to see that many of you thought LBA2's storyline wasn't very good...
I admit it was childish in parts, and on paper it look heavily un-original, but, I'm sorry, I LOVED it...No, it wasn't simply "aliens invade and kill all...Twinsen must save everyone with giant yellow ball" It soon changed into something deeper and more interesting..Funfrock wanting energy from the centre of Twinsun...fooling the locals of Zeelich into thinking he was Dark Monk...capturing the children...forcing the wizards to co-operate..all that stuff about the emperor making deals with Frunfrock...island CX...the dissidents...and much, much more....LBA2 IS as good as the original. |

Well in LBA2 the mystery of Dark Monk and stuff wasn't emphisized that much as the legend of Twinsun. The focus was more on the emperors terror, so less mystery...

There were only two parts where you really had to do with something misticals (room with the 4 races and just before the 'final fight')(unless you also count the priest stuff)

sword of the planet. So why try harder? His magical ball was only yellow and there wasn't fire in it. I can't understand it. The colours of the ball where more logic in one. But the emotions where in 2 better. Zoe was in 1 so stupid, that I shame myself, for that girlfriend. |

Is there a way getting SuperJetPack in LBA1? With my ProtoPack I danced nice in front of Baldino, but he hasn't got an idea.
Btw: Is your REAL avatar so complex, or is the TEMPORARY avatar so cool, that you keep it? |

The SuperJetPack doesn't exist until Baldino and Twinsen crach on Zeelich

And why Baldino said, that he maybe make it better? That frustates.

Aha,
The unmagical Zeelich wasn't so cool, I think, too. Tecnical wonders are more normal than magical wonders. But that makes a happy ending. 1. PEACE 2. They learn from each other being perfect. |

In LBA1 Baldino said that he was working on improcements to the proto pack. In LBA2 he finished it.

I personely think that the plot of LBA2 was better then LBA1. That's really becuase in LBA2 there was a lot of surprices as the game developed. Yet in the first edition you just discovered information after information. There wasn't anything that you would not expect. Although the only reason why I still liked Relentless' plot more than that of Twinsen's Oddysey's was because there was a great deal of mystery. In LBA2 was really, really, really boring. And if you will notice there was absolutly no suspence what so ever. In Relenltless people helped you all the time. Yet in LBA2 every body was going "You must save the planet, you are the only one!" I felt like everyone was pushing me into doing it. Nobody helped, they wanted only me to do the dirty job. Also notice that when Twinsen came to talk with Zoe he said.
-"And what, nobody did anything to stop them?" -"No." And that answer really bothers me cause she didn't say why. All she said was no. It was as if Adeline did all that on purpose. See, nobody did anything, they just wanted Twinsen to do all the job. Now how stupid is that! In Relentless there were the Rebels. |
