Well, I said I already have a story, but if someone has suggestion about the story, Just tell me. I can modify the story I'm going to 'create', if there is some good suggestions, since I did not made all the levels yet So I'm open to suggestions...

Exclamation Lazy as ever

I see people brag and don't do. Typical. Lazy as ever. Well don't despair I'll help you at least alittle. I'll try to make some objects with it. Also it would be a good idea as to which objects are not made yet and which are most needed. And for all you lazy asses I am an 18 year old Network Admin still going to school and I have time for this. (oh alright so it is a family job)

Talking Just out of curiosity

How do you get your 3ds objects into opengl engine? Have you done it yourself or did you download a pre-made thing? In any case I'm sure you've done great amount of work I am just curious as I canceled my project( http://www.astarot.host.sk ) some time ago because of troubles concerning this.

After a few weeks of no postings except mine, somthing is moving..

What's the story? I don't tell you now But I'm trying to make something different, instead of another "Go and take the 256 parts of the amulete & save the children and came back before dinner;-)"

For everyone who wants to help (like Almindor) with the modelling and with the object making, you're welcome. If you want to know what kind of objects are needed, something from the desert island (lba1 or 2, indoor or outdoor) will be good. I've already made a good part of the objects "citadel island" like, outdoor and indoor too. And the objects can be exactly like the ones is have seen in lba1 or 2, or (better) you can modify them a little bit to make them better than they are... and tell me if you've done something! I hope you remember how to send them, look a few post ago...

This is for the one who talked about voices: do you mean only your voices, or other voices too? 'cause I have made not too much dialogues yet, but a female nice voice for the intro would be very nice!

Talking about the game engine, It already features 3ds file loading, but with limitations. So I had to make all the tools...

mad_aeon - well I wish you the best with your gamme, I'm a fan of all what approaches C++/3D.

But I'm devoted to the RMP so I cant help you, anyyway if you need some help for some precise models or for the hosting just tell me. I doubt you'll find many involved modelers here, there are many projects, but good luck, if you perseverate you'll surely succeed in making a kewl game. Just dont name it LBA III pleas,e that name is reserved for the commeercial game with the story from Frederick Raynal, and that'll be reserved in 10, 20 or 30 years.

Heh I'll try to stay. Anyhow hi all! But you gotta admit I am atleast half-right. Anyhow I'm the lazy one too so...

But I will really at least make a few little objects. All I need now is to find my 3d studio(does it work with 4.0?) Oh and two thing. You really should enable transparency on that window which came with the object modeller and use about 30-40 alpha. Looks much more cool .

Can I make a tank?( I really loved the rebels attack in LBA 1 )
Oh ok so within my limits. What about cactuses? I'll try to make some altho Im not sure how I'll make the thorns...

Except some objects from me in about a week. Oh could you please tell me where you got your engine from? I program in Delphi too and I'd love to see the way they decode 3ds files.

Objects from Desert Island from lba1 or 2, or from the sewers, also from the library of the principal island.
In other words, everything you want, except objects of the houses of ciatdel island and of the outdoor of that (like bins,tress) as I already designed them.
Talking about the polygon limit, try to keep it as low as possible, use as many as you think they are necessary to make the object.

Mad_eon - hum rather too many than not enough polygons imo, objects with angular round forms look really bad
Computers are now able to draw a very important number of ones, so it's imo useless to alter an objects' beauty to save 100 or 200 polygons. And that way your game will stay evolutive

Doesn't mean "use as less as you can"
I just said don't use 100000 polygons if you are designing a simple cube, that's all...

I just cared because quite often modelers dont take much care of the smoothness of objects, considering it as a luxurious feature
As long as they have a proper form they dont add the number of polygons that make the object really beautiful, whereas it's now possible

I just wanted to say I'm still here. I've made 2 cactuses but they're not finnished yet. I'll post some pics later. Haven't checked the engine yet I've got less time than anticipated(well things just don't go as you'd want them in life)

I've also realized that fan contribute is NULL.
Maybe because they think "I want ME to make this, don't want to help someone else and his project".
Or maybe they are just too f***ing lazy.
No problem, anyway. I'll not ask for help on modelling or so on anymore. I will work on it by myself. Expect some info & (scrren)shots as soon as I will feel better

Well, imo it's for both reasons...

Good luck anyway, with obstination you should be able to release something kickass before years (and if some RMP models suit you, tell me, they're all on Bu's temple)

Welcome to the club of NULL contributions. Hope you will have better luck than LBA3D

If you want someone to be doing something for you. Say what you need! Say what objects are ready!

You just said "I want models from citadel island". You didn't say what you already have, and you didn't list all the objects you want. But that is just my opinion.

Ah, and please don't be so rude and agressive! People will not want to help you if you say that they are lazy **** and such stuff.
