nah, just kidding, its a computerised form of rotoscopieing.
Its filmed,then painted over, with some manual animation for neatness.

One wonder why they don't just make a normal movie? I suppose it'll just look REALLY cool in the theater (of course, it looks cool already).

Exactly, that: To look darn cool.

I am personaly extreamly happy film makers are experimenting with different styles these days. Film is a combination of visual, audio and meaning.
Up untill now visual has (normaly) been nothing more then "lets see how realistic we can make it look".

I recommend the large trailer.

The movie looks great, and very different from other Ghibli movies. I'm really looking forward to see what Goro Miyazaki can bring to the movie.

Cyberg-Ares, I've red the book, it's kinda strange that they're making an anime based on a european book. Hope it's going to be as great as ever

Asterix and The Vikings. http://www.play.dk/asterix_og_vikingerne (Danish voices).

This looks really good actually. Except the voices don't seem quite as funny as the old movies. But of course, the old voice actor for Asterix (Ove Sprogøe) is dead

But the animation looks great. It's nice to see A-Film hasn't abandoned traditinonal animation totally, because their CG really looks bad.

I was actually at the studio making this movie some time ago. I got to see the entire storyboard (an extremely long hallway, with the entire movie on it).

Wow! this film looks more and more incredible.
After the fantastic V for Vendette, I cant help thinking we are in a great patch of films at the moment.

Chessy? Yes..but Cool? Absolutely!
Far from being a dreaded "reimagining" it looks like this film sticks close to the originals.
This rather long new trailer gives a very good impression of what its going to be like. Frankly, after my initial sceptism I cant wait now.

Pirates of the Carabian was awesome, but I fear a sequel will ruin the magic..let hope I'm wrong, and lets hope Johnny Depp can perform amazingly again.

Pirates of the Carabian wasn't anything really artistic as far as I recall, just a good/funny action movie.
Why would a sequel ruin it?

I think Happy Feet, Cars, Barnyard, Ratatouille,
monster house, Flushed Away, and Open Season, will all be a lot better than Over the Hedge, wich looks somehow empty.
