I think cars is probably Pixars first bad movie....they had to make a bad one...the other studios were getting too upset that they were perfect

Oh, come on, Finding Nemo was very nice, and the cars, from what it look like in the trailers also looks very nice.

meh.
The first two films wernt that bad, they didnt feel as serious, but then, the books were less so two.
Like the books, the films are getting darker and more complex.

The problem is not in the filming, or even the acting, the problem is they try to squeeze far too much into far too short a timespan
The 4th film showed that blatently, and the 5th film can only be worse in that regard. Both would have made great double-films if they were just carefull where to cut it.
If WB were just a bit more brave, Harry Potter films could be on the same scale as Lord of the Rings.
(and on the same lines, why dont we even get extended editions of the HP movies on DVDs eh? bah)

Only the 5 and 4th books need to be split ,due to their length ,imo.

Matrix2/3 was effectively split the same way.
PoC 2/3 is also effectively split the same way.
And killbill as well.

Film back to back and show it 6 months apart.
Some storys are too long to be told in 2 and a half hours.

Okay, some anime director named Makoto Shinkai was called the new Miyazaki for a couple of movies he made, particularly one name The place promised in our early days. I don't agree after seeing it, but I will say it's probably the most beautiful movie/cartoon/anime I've ever seen. Period.
