My friend wants to make an Arabic translation for LBA 1, and maybe also LBA 2, but he and me found a strange thing in both LBA games. The thing is, that LBA 1 and 2 add 2 vertical lines of blank pixels (making the character two pixels wider, than it's in the font). It's OK for all other languages (it must be so, otherwise the letters would be displayed as sticked), but for the Arabic language, I would like to modiy. I already tried with changing the font with a hex editor, but it just displayed the characters in some sort of Underline (don't know, why). Please, help!!!!

I mean this: a character is 16 pixels wide, but LBA 1/2 displays it as 18 pixels wide, two laste are blank. And, I know the RTL thing, but thnaks anyway...

Can you put two images here? The Arabic font (part of them) and other with the displayed problem in the game?
I really didn't understand why it doesn't work just for this font. (if it was you said ![]()

I think I understand the issue.
Latin and Hebrew script are seperate letters, that is not the case with Arabic. If you would use Arabic with LBA's normal way of handeling characters, you get a very strange Arabic script

O_Brasileiro, how do you plan to get Arabic into LBA?
Like morshem said, it must be Right-To-Left
