Ahh, that's nice (I didn't watch much though). Actually in Japan it's popular with adults too, because the way Shin Chan talks is really funny in the original language.. kids and adults talk different, in degree of complication etc. So the trick is that in this show Shin Chan talks like a real adult and all the adults around him talk like kids, sort of. Just watched the 12th episode of Lost and I'm slightly disappointed. It was good and all, but according to my hunch, it was a little less good than the previous episodes.
On the other hand, you get to see Kate in underwear w00t w00t.

For Swedish people I would like to recommend a series from 1994/95 that is now out on DVD:

This is Settman/Granberg at their best! It is fucking hilarious series about two cops who gets called home from their duties in the USA and Russia. Settman is addicted to valium and other medicaments, and Granberg only eats Gorbys pirogues. I watched some episodes at a friend a few days ago and it is fucking good. Example on their cases are: A dirty priest who films naked nuns and girls in his church and have the camera equipment in his van. In order to stop him Settman has to dress up as a female. Another one is about a murderous shipowner, who kills all his opponents. He has a sexy daughter who Granberg fucks, and it leads the cops to catching the shipowner. Another one is about an Italian mafia family who terrorizes the neighborhood and one day the mother in the family is murdered. Spaghetti is found on the front of a car.

Dead Like Me - A one of a kind show about the afterlife of Grim Reapers.
George, a 18 year old girl, gets splashed out by a toilet seat that fell from a space station. She dies, and becomes a Grim Reaper. A modern day Grim Reapers don't wear those black suit and scythe anymore, they are just undead people that looks like normal people (though they don't look like them living selves to the other living anymore) and they try to fit into society without letting the living know they are undead. George is a very witty and funny character, and her thoughts escorts the watcher through the entire show.
George runs a double life. She has her grim reaping group's coworkers and boss, each and one of them has a charming and fascinating personality. I love 'em. Her other life is her regular job at "Happy Time" where everybody's sure she's still living - with a boss woman as funny as hell. She must do her grim reaping job if she don't want to get punished by an upper force, and she must do her regular job if she wants to earn some money.
There is so much more to the show, and I can't just spoil it all for you I'll just say: Watch It!! It's an amazing show, and I really fell in love with it.
Bty, unlike Grim Fandango, the whole shows happens in the world of the living (even though "the Day of the Dead" does get mentioned in one episode).
A few weeks ago I started downloading it, and by now I already watched the whole 2 seasons of it.

Plasuability has gone out the window a bit, but who cares...good acting, action, and hardly any chessyness.

The 4400 - Sci-Fi / Drama
In different parts of the last 60 years, 4400 people have been kidnaped by a blue light coming from sky. Now, in 2004, they get back from the sky by a huge blue light ball. The last thing they all remember is the moment before the kidnaping - and they haven't aged a bit. The government unit who is in charge of them isn't your regular "Super intelligent and cold blooded" investigation unit you see in most american shows, which is already a plus. Over the 1st season you get to learn what did the kidnappers do to these people (some of them discoveres that they have really special abilities), and the season has a really kick-ass ending.
This show is nothing but cliche, it's very original and fascinating.
Season 1 contains only 5 episodes - so you got no excuse not to watch it. I'm now waiting July 2005, for the 2nd season to come.

Both series have had a pretty large gap...

Did anyone see the British comedy The Office? There's now also a USA remake (pilot aired tuesday on NBC) which I just watched... it's very pityful that the brilliant subtle humour is now replaced by loud shouting and quick jokes. The characters and the script are nearly identical though. It's very weird to watch if you've seen the original, but it's rather educational when it comes to the differences between both English-languaged cultures.
