Twinsen Custom Twinsen Model In 3D Print

Hello, everyone.

I always said that I was going to do something art related. When I have said this, I mentioned that I would have something done soon. Of course, this wasn't the case. So, I'm going to change that.

This is something I figured was worth sharing. Before I go on, I would like to point out that I'm still learning how to 3D print my models. So, it is obvious that the print has some problems. It's an early work in progress.

I began by printing a smaller one, just to see how it would turn out. It turned out okay, but there were some excess parts that were hard to get rid of. I'm going to have to get some tools to cut these down and smooth out the prints. I tried printing a bigger one, and it was easier to get rid of the excesses.

From what I remember the little Twinsen weighs around 5 kilograms, and the big Twinsen weighs around 35 kilograms. Just for an idea: my hand in a fist is still larger than the bigger Twinsen model - if that make sense.

I originally modeled this in Blender, since I currently don't have 3ds Max.

I was going to do Twinsen's original design at first, but then decided to do my own. He almost has an oriental look. My siblings say it looks like he has gorilla lips. It also looks like the print is growing a beard. It's true that the 3D printers have a rough time getting the parts that hang off an edge.

I am a Quetch. However, I am a Mr. Quetch.
