Well, thats debatable.
I got a WiiU for it - but I knew I would enjoy because I played the last game. I also had a few WiiU games ön a list to "get at some point". So it was sort of a safe choice for me.
Still a lot of money, but I knew I was getting 200+ hours of entertainment from it at least.

Mario 3D World for sure. Love my platformers.
Splatoon as well I think I'll get - I have a few friends that have it and want my to join for the multiplayer.
Pikmin 3 possibly.

Oh, and Yooka-Laylee (which I think is still a year away)

Theres a few others like MarioMaker I vaguely want, but dont want to pay full price for.
--
Also a big question mark for me over that Lego Dimensions game. For some weird reason theres no PC version so I might get a WiiU one
Still expensive though. Probably paying for all the voiceactors but still, not too keen on plastic-model-buying based games, even if the models in question are proper lego :P

The art design is just beautiful.
Anyone with a WiiU has to get this game.
I was thinking about buying WiiU just for this game and the new Legend of Zelda, both of them look so freaking cool

Yes, cant wait for Zelda either.

Still really enjoying Xenoblade - some nice crazy sci-fi twists now I am a few chapters in. I also love just running about seeing who I can help in town.

The only criticism I have is the music; No separate volume control for the music/sfx!
Seems a big oversight to me, as sometimes its a little hard to hear what people are saying. (Cutscenes have subtitles, not not random in-fight speech).

Weird not to have the option either, as theres loads of options for everything else.

Anyway, if anyone else gets the game, feel free to add me. Even though its mostly a single player game, theres a surprising amount of co-op multiplayer features.

Realy? That's something I didn't expect, specially from an AAA title... such a common feature on every game nowadays was just forgotten like that?

Still, doesn't look like a big deal... My friend just told me he is going to buy a WiiU in a few weeks and he is going to lend me his videogame as soon as he finished Xenoblade, so I have my taste of the game as well

Yeah its weird as hell by its absence. Kinda hoping they patch it in.
Not really spoiling my game though.

You can expect it in about 6 months then :P

Steamworld Heist
Released on 3DS some months ago, completely different from the previous game, Steamworld Dig.
Steamworld Heist is a... 2 dimensional turn-based shooter...
So yeah, that game studio (Image and Form) so far made two original games, both quite unique, both in gameplay and atmosphere.
I definetely recommend this for any- and everyone.

P.S. : Yes, making your shot bounce five times across the room before hitting your target is as fun as it sounds

Really interesting game;
http://www.achrongame.com/site/index.php

A few years old now, somehow I missed it.

Basically its a RTS with full time travel abilities. I havnt got my head around it yet.
You can change the past at any time and your enemy can do the same.
Really weird stuff. Your constantly fighting in multiple time frames....but its not a trick or multiple maps, you really are changing the past of your units, which in turn effects the future.

Seems to use "back to the future" style time travel rules, where changes take awhile to propagate to the present (and thus giving you time to counter them).

Having recently acquired an Nvidia Shield (android portable gaming device made by Nvidia), The beautiful world of Android gaming opened up for me !

Little Big Adventure 2
(Yes, shut up )
The DOS emulator works quite though it is hard to set-up, I'm glad the pre-configured GoG versions of so many games exist !

When playing LBA2 I used to press ENTER a lot to have the camera like it was following me. Here the rendering time is a bit higher so I thought why not play the whole thing without ever pressing ENTER ?
Result ? Hardly playable for a new player, luckily, I know the game inside-out, so I'm not bothered by dead zones.
Frankly I found the static camera very interesting and unique, gives an almost cinematic feel to the game. Some textures are weird, but whole in all, this game aged rather well I'd say.

Scenario wise I can't say the same thing... Aliens out of nowhere ? I'm not hooked-up on that any more (so funny that no one cares though, Bob even says something like "That's nice, but they could've stayed home, really" )
Even worse, you have to kill the emperor. Why ?
Twinsen always attacked only people who attacked him first...But the emperor is harmless ! But the game is like "No, the lift is up, you can't exit this room until you've KILLED the guy."...
Not cool...
Whole in all, very beautiful game, very disappointing story for such a vast world

LBA-Android port
Just a note, the screen is panning... Weirdly, I feel like this breaks the rhythm of the game, and makes the grids feel... dead... Now everything is moving, except the world, and the panning makes that pop-out.
Other than that, nice port, cool framerate.
(God, I sound like such a snob x) )

Inside - Beautiful. Realistic. Scary. Cruel. Evil. Creative. Challenging. Flowing. Enchanting. Fun. Genuine. And many other adjectives.

I shall say no more. Watch the trailer and that should be enough for you to decide to play this game.

(I'm still playing)

I just realized I posted a star trek beyond review in the game thread. Whoops.
Wonder what messed me up there.

Not sure it even counts as a game, but it's fun for engineers / rocket science nerds at least.

Technobabylon - Still playing. I just love everything about this game. A *modern* sci-fi that doesn't feel outdated and neither does it feel alien. Very refreshing. And I'm not one to like outdated graphics, but this art (pixel art?) in low resolution 2D sierra-style looks fantastic. It just makes the experience so easy to swallow and to focus on the story and the characters without depriving you of pretty pretty visuals. Give this game a try. It's still available at Humble Bundle for pay-what-you-want for the next 4 days.

Yup, point and click. If you like it I recommend adding other Wadget Eye games to your queue, such as Gemini Rue and the Blackwell games. They also have quite a few other games I still haven't gotten around to playing but I'm sure they're worth checking out as well.
