![]() The Gardens - Entrance is above the research place. I tried to make a quiet area which would be some kind of park. I'd admit placing the flowers to make it seem less artificial was hard; I decided to place things randomly. - note: I was limited by bricks to use, I'm not entirely sure what type of garden I've made here.. but some parts of it are meant to be artificial except where the plants grow. Island progress: 48% complete To do: 2 outdoor grids (tunnel entrance & the port), inside the town buildings, the research facility.

Looking good, but maybe the edge of the.. fountain, I think, could be changed a bit.

Not really a fountain but it is a water feature.
Its a pool of still water. I've seen some gardens have it; I think my ideas atm are coming from playing Mass Effect and seeing the Zen gardens on the citadel. I couldn't find a step brick like the others round the fountain which goes in 2 directions.. so I improvised with those blocks instead. The water is meant to be lower than the steps.

Can't edit, new post.
I forgot to upload a screenshot of the town grid. (Should of shown before 'The Gardens' grid) ![]() Town: I wouldn't really call it a town looking at it, but that's what I called the project name for some reason. The town includes: A musuem, a shop, a town hall, a warehouse, 2 buildings undecided, 2 sewer entrances. ![]() Update for 'Makers house' grid: I fixed the water now so its the lighter variation. ![]() Tunnel Entrance: This is the entrance to the mine (official one the locals use), it has a staging area for cargo. The tunnel is runned by a company that upkeeps the mine. - I may do a few edits to this grid, but I feel atm the more I add the more I'll mess it up. ------ 1 outdoor area to be completed - The port for where all boats leave the island. You shouldn't worry that much about double posting, we're not paranoid after it.
It looks very nice, but a bit flat. Maybe you should try adding some slopes or small hills here and there. |

I haven't abandoned this project but as always the project is on hold.
- I'm currently trying to build an 'LED water temperature alarm' for my Engineering project (3 weeks left), with assignments mounting and all I barely have much free time. After 3 weeks and having no in-college project consuming free time, I could continue this. Any suggestions on the world could be useful though when I get back to it in 3 weeks. - I've already listed locations I will be doing. (I intend on making more than 1 island but I think its safer to have at least something done than nothing, so I will try and test just the 1 island once its fully complete)

I'm back and I've got an update.
I have created the docks area and I've also made a map which shows you how it will all link together. The idea was to create something completely different from the LBA maps while using the LBA tilesets (as they're the only ones I've got). I still need a name for the town area and possibly the island later (but first I gotta finish the outdoors). If anybody has any name suggestions feel free to leave them, you will be credited for the name somewhere.

Update: I've done all the grids needed for making a complete environment.
We can sort out more maps later, first we need to sort out converting them and getting them working in LBAnet format. Check the file attachment for the full map. This includes not only outdoors but also all the indoor grids. (Sorry it might be blurry images, but I was trying to reduce the file size.)

Looks pretty good! As for the museum, I think the interior and the exterior don't really match. But you do have some quite interesting designs.

I do admit the musuem blocks don't quite match up, the same with the cafe in town. I was just making do with what was avaliable.
I've already done the invisible bricks; hopefully there won't be any gaps or anything, I've checked them all but sods law states that I'm bound to miss one minor thing somewhere. If any bugs are found that I've missed feel free to post. I'm ready to plug it all together now. I still gotta consider the music per scene but overall I've done enough to feel okay with what I have. I feel that I should put up what I have now as I've done alot and there are plenty of zones to visit and enough space for plenty of quests and expansion.

I've sent the files to Rincevent so I can only wait and see what happens now.
Edit: I just remembered what I forgot to add in that email Rincevent. Spoiler: ----- Key: Green = Confirmed and unlikely to change Orange = May change Red = Undecided and is very likely to change As for factions, quests and general plot. Spoiler: ----- I've completed the first Island (Tech-Island) and I won't be starting on its neighbouring Island (Mystic-Island) till I'm sure the first Island is running ok.

Wrong size entrance: Tinker_town - PoliceStation 4. Wrong size entrance: Tinker_town - Factory 5. Wrong size entrance: Tinker_town - Musuem 6. Map offset: Village Path (village1.gr2) 7. Wrong brick library: To-the-peak (Royalpeak.gr2) 8. Voids: The Docks (Thedocks.gr1) 9. Voids: Colobee Quest Center (VillageMail) 10. Voids: Stairs too high, - Musuem 11. Voids: "Outside makers" - There is gap in the cliff you can fall down. 12. Voids: "Tinker-town" near the docks there is a missing brick. 13. Voids: "Solidirity_Park" - left side of the bridge, can't be seen because bridge obstructs view of hole. 14. Voids: "The Tunnel" - Invisible bricks are missing. (we decided to leave it as it is - makes it more interesting) 15. Players can walk in walls: Colobee Quest Center (VillageMail) 16. Blocked: "Tinker-town" - Stairs can't be accessed because invisible bricks from the tree. 17. Blocked: "Tinker-town" at PoliceStation entrance you get stuck but running lets you through. 18. Blocked: "Soldirity_Park" - under the bridge you get stuck for a second like outside PoliceStation. -------------- Minor errors -------------- 19. Typo: "Solidirity" for the park area is not a word, its "Solidarity". 20. Decoration: floor at the top of "outsideResearch" is wrong, atleast 2 tiles are darker. 21. Decoration: Makers House (inside) - few bricks are missing and some bricks loaded in wrong order. 22. Decoration: Bricks haven't loaded in right order for roof. 23. Decoration: "Tinker-town" - bricks haven't loaded in right order for roofs. 24. Decoration: a few missing bricks that make some corners of buildings float rather than touch the ground. 25. Decoration: "Techside-River" - the fences look weird to the south in perspective mode. 26. Decoration: "Techside-River" - Cliffs in perspective mode look weird. 27. Decoration: Cliffs look weird in perspective mode. 28. Music changed when perspective mode is switched and vice versa.
