He's a Dino-Fly, obviously.

On several cases people mention "a dino-fly", meaning there are others.

Dino-Fly is a Dino-Fly
Twinsen never gave him an actual name

Do you need that many smilies?

According to the sphero at the entrance of Funky Town, you need a Dino-Fly to get to Fortress Island, so I think there's more than one.

Edit: yeah, what morshem and El said.

Well, we know that characters and species in LBA are based from real-life species. Only they are changed a bit, right - like with Quetches the funny hair? Well, Dino-Fly is clearly is big dragony dinosaur thing

How random can a question get? Twinsen's Dino-Fly: no. Others: we don't know.

they jump infront of pots and stuff.

The real question should be
what's the dino-flys natural habitat, where are the others?

Twinsen's Dino-Fly waited on Tippett Island because he had the mission to wait for the Heir, so I guess the other Dino-Flys are not around there.

Or maybe this was the last one. Initially there were thousands, all waiting for the heir, but they died off one by one because he was taking so long to get there, and so there was only one left.

Yet, the LBA 2 pharmacist says she's got nothing for a Dino-Fly.

and Twinsun is a relatively new planet so it seems doubtful they're all extinct already. Unless I'm getting the definition of relatively new wrong.

oh and why aren't dinoflys listed here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twinsun#Inhabitants

edit-- oh wait, they are.

There are other intelligent species of which only one or two examples appear in all of both games. These include Elves, blue horses, and a winged lizard-like creature called a Dinofly.

Maybe in LBA3 we will see more things about Twinsen's Dino-Fly, such as early years and childhood.

And we'll see daddy dino then!!!
Maybe Dino-Fly should be in LBA prequel, and Heg tells Dino to wait for the heir of Twinsun
