LBA Prequel Environment

Something has just accrued to me after seeing the attachment in Temple of Bù before the sand-storm thread.

Just like humanity had different structures and customs in the ancient roman age, Twinsun looked totally different in the pirate age.

Compare:

Twinsen's house, today:

Twinsen's house, back in Hégésippe's time:

A common underground city, today:

The temple of Bu (probably built in Hégésippe's time):

I think it'd be right if the LBA Prequel would use the real environment that belongs to that time.

don't really see your point..

Also I don't thing the temple was built in Hégésippe's time. Hégésippe wasn't the first, he was just the one that lost the key.

According to what we already know about the Prequel's story, the cave under Twinsen's house then was also a cave. I wouldn't compare it to a house.

Ok, that's possible I guess. But that means LBA Prequel still happens a long time after Twinsun's genesis, which was "a few centuries ago". They mentioned Hégésippe was Twinsen's ancestor so it must have been a long time ago.

This has already been discussed; we've already planned on the environment being a bit different, such as trees being smaller in areas than they appear in LBA 1+2. Basically, my take on the whole thing is us going like George Lucas and imagining the world as a Prequel; technology, buildings, etc. will still have that LBA flair, but because it takes place generations before Twinsen, it will obviously be different.

No need to fear - with our scene and model editors, we've already thought this out, CF. Maybe you can help?

Well, maybe later on when we're making maps, you can help us with ideas as to how it should look...

You can be our Twinsunian historian

Well I just hope the technology won't be completey discared...like clones are just to awesome to don't implement them somewhere...

maybe it's an idea to have some secret side quest in the game where heggesippe has to destroy a factory where some evil guys are develloping clones?

or is that too starwars like?

I think the essential point is keeping enough of the technology we've seen in the LBA games there, but also changing what we think would make sense because, in the human perspective, there is quite a bit change in two+ generations time. Look at us. Our grandparents had - radio. We have - internet, TV, etc.

So, while I don't think the Prequel will be relegated to a system like that, where it will be two steps backwards, especially since Twinsunians seem to be quite advanced compared to Earthlings, I think that there will be a difference - sort of like the evolution from a Battle Droid to a Stormtrooper in the Star Wars series.
