The statement was made very clearly that you haven't provided evidence for this harassment. Yet you put it down to some sort of sexual bias - something am sure you don't actually believe but are using as a simple insult or cheap way to invalidate the opinion of those refusing to do what you want in this mater.

Thanks jesse & kit.
tbh kasia non-ironically scares me at times.
she seems to hate us so passionately, even though we never actually did anything to her.

Yes, they are evil. But this place is so nice since they don't exist in any thread for me!

Interesting.

Very interesting.

As expected, from my experiment with this thread, MBN got a lot worse after this. Just like it did after JJ's proposal, and after Kit's new rules.

I believe I might write a scientific report on this!

Well I still think the one of the actions taken was too mild. Anakin only Banned for 7 days, when it's his third Ban (he got Banned twice before for posting porn or the like) and I think the "three strikes and you're out" rule should apply. Giving endless amounts of short bans won't teach a person anything.
Apart from that, this forum is faring well right well.

I'll be sure to remember that term whenever I come across a discussion between 'butt-hurt' people.

Being banned is barely a fun experience (even better if you anticipate such reactions for some reason), yet I still think repeated, temporary bans are more sensible rather than permanent ones. I can't think of any reasons to ask for a permanent ban for a member with such a long history in this place that would justify as a solution to people's personal problems.
And hypothetically, temporary bans would help if it manages to show the members where the line is drawn. It's not like it's going to change people over a ban or two, so it might come down to patience if you lay your trust in that.

But seeing that there have been some change in dynamics of moderation since my absence here, things might flow differently here. I mean, look at how many recently posted members who's got the red names here, compared to earlier times...!

Sure, I do see your point but there comes a time when people have crossed the line too many times and you have to give them a longer punishment. Anakin got two Bans for over a month in the past for merely posting quasi-pornographic imagery... why is his third Ban only 7 days? Why not like, 2 months at least? Though I'd support an indefinite length ban until he shows improvement. Granted, that would require a moderator here to observe him outside this forum, but we have Kitarii who has become a regular in #lba, sad as it is, which could be useful in this case.
Edit: I apologize for saying lies about Anakin.

Hey buddy, easy there, anakin is a nice chap, anyone who's been to #lba knows that.

As for all this stupid banning/not banning/infractions talk:

I think of the MBN as Asterix's village. You know, all the time there are fights about silly things (much like the arguments about the freshness of fish between Unhygienix and Fulliautomatix), then we have the annoying guys like Cacofonix, which noone can stand when they "sing" (read: post) but they make good company. All in all, after a good fight, people are back to a certain friendly unity.

Banning anyone permanently would be very much like banning any of the village residents, of which would be a most sad event, and if this was an Asterix story, he'd definitely be accepted back again one day. So... no point in banning anyone permanently, atleast, not these oldbies.

If like me, you read Asterix in your native language, you might need this list of chars to know of which ones I'm talking about (thought it's quite obvious for any good Asterix fan ).

It's not as if he went that far. Also: we as mods can decide on our own how long and who gets banned thank you very much.

Absolutely. Each offence is treated as an individual situation, regardless of what you have done in the past. Everyone here has done some silly things in their past, it would be madness to judge people based on what they had done years ago.

My question is just, how many strikes can one get before they get Banned permanently?
