Oh, if only I had an own web I could insert a collection of my voice samples. By the way, guys... The new is that I bought a new headset a while ago which has a background filter. I'll test how the difference is...

SGK - not bad, what program are you using to record though? You've got alot of static in the background, which makes it hard to understand what your saying.

Yes, I suppose I am now an official member (even though my MBN group memberships don't reflect it...I'm only listen in the RMP, so no LBA prequel or LBA X yet ).

Oh. Haha. Well, still, they aren't bad, if you wanted, I could run them through Audition to see if we could improve the quality (or you could get ahold of a copy of either Audition or the now defunct Cool Edit Pro).

Well, I would think that both the Prequel and the LBA X team would want as many people as possible, considering how many NPC's there are as well as main characters like Twinsen and Zoe. Otherwise, with only a few actors, the game would sound monotonous since every person would sound the same. You might be able to get away with one person doing a main character and a few NPC's, or maybe (as I did with my demos) Twinsen and, through electronic manipulation, Funfrock or something, but even that pushes it because you don't want to be able to discern who is doing which voice. It would take away from the full experience you should have with the game.

So, in conclusion, I certainly think they would need everybody they can get at this point.

Congratulations, JJ. Looks like you've been granted the place as a main voice actor of a main character, Twinsen. Good luck with the works!

I can still work on the voices, maybe with francos' voices. I have a sound morpher which can change the sound's preferences and how it sounds like.

Ah, grazie, but like I said, we need as many people as possible so that the LBA environment can be as rich as possible, every character (NPC or otherwise) needs to have a unique voice, which could be best achieved by utilizing most of the members here at the MBN!

Hmmm, this looks like a silence to me...

Anyway, I wanted to post my Twinsen's voice, but I see you already have JJ. That's better, I don't think I am as good as him with Twinsen's voice. Congrats, JJ.

Anyway, maybe I could try to do some voices of other characters... I will post some samples later.

I posted some samples of my robotic/soldier clone thingy, I know that with Adobe Audition, you can work with some pitch benders and echoes to achieve a pretty decent robot.

Hm,alas I have no buisness with the site and I don`t know did mad_aeon found any other place to host the new site.We should ask him,but he`s on somekind of vacantion trip and I don`t know is he back from it.
The most important thing was that we used the FTP space there to exchange files for the game. Now because of the lack of free FTP space for hosting we`re using e-mails for the files :S.

As soon as we get an FTP server up, let me know, I'll get to work on more samples. My friend has a broadband connection so I can record them on my machine and transport them to his house and upload them to the FTP in about 5 minutes

MA - good to see you mang. Do we currently have any way to upload via FTP or something along those lines, or are we in limbo until we get an appropriate host?

Yes I own madaeon.net domain and have some ftp space too.
Soon you can upload all LbaX related files to that ftp
