I don't think the site is actually down, since the images are apparently still there. It's probably just some technical problem.

It's ike I said, probably something with the server. My Chrome even says literally:

HTTP-error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was found when the server tried to execute the request.

From this I knew it hadn't lost any data at all, it just hadn't access to it.
But I still don't exactly know what it is.

Btw, even the 404 error wouldn't necessarily mean any data was actually lost.

Actually that's one of the core symptoms of autism. I call it telephone-o-phobia. We usually don't like going up to random people and talking to them.

To be honest, I hate starting conversations with people, especially on the phone. Last year I took a day off work and went to university to sort out a matter there. I guess I could do it on the phone, but I preferred going there and talking face-to-face.

It makes me sad that you feel a need to wear a label like "autism" or "asperger" or whatever... I hate it so much when people do that. If you *really* feel a need to answer my probably inappropriate comment, just say what is it about it that makes you embarrassed, or whatever. It's not a pathology. Those labels aren't REAL. The brain is an uncomprehendingly complex thing. All those definitions and labeling are a desperate attempt to make order out of the gigantic blob of information that is the human brain. It's like drawing one path through a massive forest and deciding it's the only path you can possibly go through to get to the other side.

I don't know if you are referring to me, but it wasn't me who "labeled" anything here, and I don't think it really has to do something with it.

Well the "label" I used was just to make people aware of a deficit which can easily be fixed by conscious learning and practice. Which is what helped me - I didn't feel embarassed as much any more. Other people might not do so well with labels. It's not like I think about it all the time anyway, morshem actually just reminded me of this telephonophobia which I had myself.

Hmm I once had telephonophobia - as you call it, and I guess there's still some left in me. But autism is definitely nothing I never heared of. Though I'm quite surprised it came up here, lol. I think it (say "tph") is one of the many symptoms of some forms of autism, but alone doesn't make up such a diagnosis.
In response to CF, for me it is more not knowing what I must say, how to phrase it. I really wouldn't mind taking the initiative in case I were provided with a message body.. That would seriously help, lol. One of my more prominent problems, symptoms (you name it), is phrasing initial contact.

ChaosFish is right in that labels fail to describe the complexity of the brain, but I still think we can make out some differences in perception among humans and name them appropriately.

You're both right, I think it will trouble some people if you label them, but for others it may actually be comforting - to know what is wrong with them, or what they have always been troubled with, and then knowing what it is. For some people it's like discrimination, for others it is more like receiving a present that changes your life for the good

Lets notice that some people do not like to be confronted with anything of such, haven't accepted their problems, or even are ashamed of it. And that others have always been wondering and trying to find out why they are like this or that, and those are really helped to know the name (or any label). I was very happy to hear it myself, but I'm even more happy now that I found out more myself. Knowledge does pay off.

Reminds me of the first time I went there, in early 2003. It was the middle of the night, and I saw many people there, so I said something like "Hi! This is my first time here!". And I didn't understand why nobody answers .
