I had a conversation with Didier, back in January... He mentioning that a LBA remake for iPad was being discussed, but didn't got into details...

Hello to everyone here in this fantastic site, I've done some posting here back in 2005 under the nickname slayerules (was 16 at the time), but pretty much have been lurking anonymously since them.

I've been waiting for a new LBA game since forever, as I still consider LBA2, specially, to be the best game ever for PC, such an unique and remarkable experience it was playing it back then and still is nowadays!

I just think the original authors got the wrong idea for the remake, IMO it should remain a PC-exclusive game, since I fear it will end up too "casual" or "streamlined" in order to run in so many different platforms and to appease a larger audience. It could compromise the final product in a bad way, don't you think?

I would like to know if someone else here share similar ideas regardind the situation. Hopefully, everything turns out for the best, but I remain a litte skeptical.

I think there is both a port and a remake in the making (at least that's what the latest news were (which in this case are several months old (did I forget to close a bracket ?))

I think I read just the original interview, I hope they really just port the original LBA to Android and iOS and the remake stays PC exclusive.

Yeah, that's kinda weird... At first it seemed like they were making a remake but the one depicted in the photo looks like a straight port. Or, they actually intend to use LBA1 as a base and simply improve 3D models, resolution of backgrounds, update the control scheme, stuff like that. To be fair, that would be more like an upgraded port than a full-fledged remake, but whatever. Anything new LBA related is better than nothing at all after all these years.

Ho does look very suspicious... all his comments are too much alike, and they never seem to say much, and he never answers anything or posts twice in the same thread.

Now that I have an MS-DOS emulator on my DS,I played some DOS games... I noticed that when you quit, they alwyas display a message on DOS, like "Thanks for playing !". So well-educated, not like games nowadays...

Yeah, whenever I exit Dune II it feels like they want me to continue xD
