What are the most epic moments in videogames you can think of?
I don't like making classifics, so I will post those moments with no particular order. I'll use the spoiler button, and I suggest you to do it too. And watch out when you quote someone else, you'll read all the spoilers without even realizing!

Call of Cthulhu - dark corners of the earth

Running away from your hotel room, unarmed, hunted by too many fishmen... that's probably the scariest moment in videogaming.

Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit 451)

The first scene is just awesome. You just killed a man in the bathroom of a diner, you have to hide the body quickly, hide all evidences, a policeman is going to take a piss soon. You can feel the anxiety not only in the videogame character's statistics, but also on your skin

Day of the tentacle

Heavy Rain

The moment you realize who the real Origami Killer is... and you realize there were so many hints around the game that you could get it by yourself very soon

The Walking Dead - Season 1

(Episode 4?) You're traveling in train, Teaching the little girl how to shoot, cut her hair so that she won't be grabbed anymore, make her grow up, tell her she's going to fight for her safety because this new world is not for children. Epicness

Well, when I was a child this got me - The moment when the evil bastard FunFrock cuts the rope of the children's cage. I thought he had really killed em. I was staring at the screen with my mouth wide open and thinking (I did all this for nothing?!)

Assassin's Creed 3

I'm not a great fan of the AC series but the moment when you are a young indian and you come back to your village to find nothing else but flames and death. Sorrow and Marvelous.

Shadow of Rome

Octavianus is the new emperor. Probably you were expecting this from the start (history, bro), but the way he enters the arena wearing Cesear's clothes and speaking with his voice... priceless

Knights of The Old Republic

This game has many great moments -
1 - when Malak tells you who you really are. You had to understand it before... everything your companions have told you until now suddenly makes sense
2- finish the game as the new sith dark lord with an evil Bastila by your side. Pure Evil.

Monkey Island 3

Die by drinking a lethal cocktail. For a few seconds you think you can actually die in a Lucas Arts adventure. Then the final credits fly away scared by Guybrush's soft voice

Hitman - Blood Money

This game is fantastic, it's hard to get a moment that's better than all the others. I love the Casino level, where you have to kill 3 targets in 3 different ways and 3 different places. Everything you do will cause another event to happen, and your plan will have to change based on how your targets do and think

The Last Express

The beginning is very similiar to another more recent game I talked about above. You're in a room with a dead body, and if you don't do something about it you're going to get cought. Hide all evidences, hide the body, do something and quickly!

Fallout 3

I find this game highly overrated, but yet, i finished it 2 times. I love the beginning, when you have to run away from the Vault, and the later part when you come back

Two points:
* Near the start where the centurion your playing as becomes evil after picking up a elder gods artifact. - and is your enemy for the rest of the game.

* After completing it 3 times for each combination of evil elder god you could have picked.

"And so it comes to pass... Of the three Ancients, there is nothing... The mighty Chattur'gha has obliterated the insanity of Xel'lotath. The madness of Xel'lotath has overcome the power of Ulyaoth. The boundless Ulyaoth has decimated the power of Chattur'gha.

All at once, separate and simultaneous, for the Universe is made of many timestreams, many possibilites, all in harmonious sychronicity. Only Mantorok remains, slowly dying. Mantorok... Keeper... Overseer... Warden of Ancients... Chaos, an entity trapped between the veils of reality and the enchanted stakes that impale its flesh. The ending...where the whole universe gets destroyed only to be reborn moments latter. WTF were they smoking?

Tales of Monkey Island

After you actually die - I love the lines said by LeChuck and Elane before the cliffhanger.

"Out of respect for the newly-deceased, I feel I should point out that you wave your sword like a dairy farmer. "
"How appropriate... YOU fight like a Pox-infected undead cow!"

That was a great cliffhanger. Drama and humor.

Portal

1 : When I got out of the test chambers for the first time. I felt like I was finally outside of the system, and although I could still hear GlaDOS's voice, I felt free !

2 : The first time a turret shot me. So far, the game was kinda light, with a creepy but funny AI, and sudenly, I got shot. There wa blood on the wall, the most realistiv blood I've ever seen in a video game (I don't play much FPS). And that was the only way to be sure I was human, I had weird things on my leg and GlaDOS kept referring to me as "android". But no, I am human, because when I get shot, I bleed. How awesomely powerful an image is that ?!

3 : When the first portal opens. After playing several 3D videogames, the best way to memorise a level's layout for me, was to imagine a minimap. And suddenly, here is a portal, I get to change direction on my minimap without changing directions ! I know it's not much, but it got me to re-think something that I thought would never change.
