Anyone seen this version of LBA2 before?
I'll occasionally look for versions of LBA I don't have on eBay and saw this tonight. Can't find much about it, anyone seen it before?

I thought it was more something of an extended demo, at least, that's what the shareware of Jazz Jackrabbit 2 was like.

I think this is most likely the same demo that we have here on the MBN. Unless it's not and it's some other version we never knew of, but we can't know for certain unless someone buys and dumps the disc and posts the dump here.

I picked it up and yeah it seems to be the demo. I installed it on XP 32 bit but the screen would flash black and nothing would happen. Probably needed a patched .exe but I had other things to worry about at the time.
I could dump the contents to a google drive and someone could give it a try if they wanted? |

is that even a question?

Hmm on my Win7 it works perfectly, just the intro screen was busted (the one with LBA Japan, before the Adeline screen). But it's indeed a slightly different demo, probably for the JAP market?!

I never managed to get it working myself. My Windows XP install broke and reinsatlling it broke everything else so I fixed that mess and called it a day. Cool if it is something a bit different though!

Ok so it turns out they're the same
![]() DSETUP.DLL (I guess for America?) DSETUP6E.DLL (Europe? but no idea what 6 is for) DSETUP6J.DLL (Japan? but no idea what 6 is for) DSETUPE.DLL (I guess for Europe?) DSETUPJ.DLL (I guess for Japan?) + it has an additional LBA2.ICO icon and it misses the LBA2DEMO.TXT that the original demo had. So... that's pretty much it ![]()
