Interview# 3

This interview is dedicated to kaderoboy for his birthday

Ok some interisting news, not much on trium planeta, but still all the info you may want to get

#1. How many members does F4-TOYS consist of?
(very surprising) Its currently a very small team, only about 10 members! (wow)

#2. What projects does f4-toys plan?
Were planning a platform adventure
.... (axx) would that be trium Planeta?
(Mr. frederick) yes that is trium planeta

#3. Is it true that trium planeta is based on lba3. On a russian site, gamemag.ru, they said they had an interview with you of some sort were you said that trium planeta had stoled parts from lba3.
yes. (not very clear, but yes was the point)

#4. Does f4-toys plan on making or designing toys, as i can understand form the title "the games and toys company"?
Im not sure, the future can tell, for now were not sure

#5. Who is F4-toys publisher?
Im sorry i cant tell that right now.

#6 Do you plan on releasing the LBA3 story?
No, Didier chanfray went back to adeline, they have the rights, bt if somthing happens and i need to make the game i need the story for the game, it may cjange then.

#7Do you plan on employing phillipe vachey?
I saw him today actuay. Why not, but currently i dont need a music composer. When you called me the last time it was the first real day were we started the project, (again) ehy not, but we dont need him now

#8 what consoles will it be released on?
Im not sure for now
(continuation)
(axx) will it be released for gba, as i say your company advertising a job to work on games for gba.
(fred) no it will not be released on the gba, maybe the pc or any of the other consoles, we cant tell yet. We are currently working on the game for no particular platform

#9 Fred gives me some interisting information.
Sebastian viany is working on somthing for lba

#9 Would that be a patch, what is he working on?
At work, he does he's job like everybody else, but at home he works on somthing for LBA1

#10 (Im surprised Fred dosnt know about the patch!) A member of the MBN worked on a patch for lba1 and 2. The patch is supposed to make lba1 and lba2 work for all operating systems by microsoft.
(fred misunderstands me) well yes the patch can be created
(axx interupts) No no, the patch was already made. I have it and so does everyone else on the MBN.
(Fred is very surprised and excited) Its already made!? what do you mean. Im surprised me and vianny didnt know about this
(axx) Its a patch which allows lba1 and 2 to work almost perfect on any microsoft operating system including windows xp, also another person is working on a engine reimplementation.
(fred) yes i know about that one. (about the patch) it is legal, he can have it published (???)
(axx) Ok i dont have anymore questions, so thanx
(fred) Your welcome, im very surprised about the patch
bye
(axx) bye

End of conversation!
(this time i recorded it, though the recording was terrible, so some of it wasnt clear, but i got down everything

enjoy from AXX

Great job, but I don't get the point about the patch and what Fred knew about it.

Btw: You said you have recorded the interview. Could you convert it to mp3 an load it up so that we could download it?

Hey, this is pretty good news. I thought that Fredrick would actually be disapointed that a patch was made without his copyrights approval and stuff. But it seems that everything is okey.

And if only Fredrick was back in Adeline...bah, I bet they would start working on LBA3 in no time...but oh well. I'm curious that TP will be like LBA3.

This is excellent!
He seemed to be shocked about the patch, hehe...
He sounded pretty "dead" before that.

Great interwiev
But at his place I'd have been more surprised to see a LBA engine reimplementation than a compatibility patch...

PS - you didnt ask him about Bu's temple... I know it's not important at all for the MBN, but I'd have liked a lot to know (and furthermore it's also soon my birthday...)

i dont know more that three words in french, obviously english. Phillipe vachey, frederick raynal , sebastian vianny all sound the same, and all speak english (sebastian gave me freds number) another thing is that vianny might be a usual visitor of the board, thats what fred made it sound like.

Or its just something being done in secret.
--
I don't mind platform games, but its very hard to do anything new in them. Nintendo kind of sucked up all the good ideas early on, and now even there running slow on the genra.
(look at all the remakes on the GBA, and how long its taken to get the ideas for Mario Sunshine).
I have faith fred will put a new spin on the genra
===
I'm pretty sure Fred just meant he had taken stuff from LBA3 to use in TP. (puzzles, a few creatures ect)
That doesn't mean the story or action/puzzle balence will be simerlar.

But not a 2D platform game, I hope....
It would be excellent to find back some characters and objects of LBA, but I wouldnt like to have a copy of the LBA3's story there.

It would take a very brave team to release a 2D game now.
Maybe a 2.5D game (3D enviroment,2D movement).
I don't mind 2D games that much at all, but its highly unlikely
it will be one.
