well... i tried it a couple of days ago. shameful results...

so, the game loads fine, and even fits properly on the screen if you use the NTSC fix. however there are problems rendering the background, basically meaning you can see no walls, sceneray houses, etc. just moving characters n such.

who knows, this may fix in later versions of the emu if we see them

I'm using the 3.03 A custom firmware and all compressed psx games are working fine.

All I need is an LBA 1 cd image to convert, I don't have the disc anymore.

Game tested so far:
Crash Bandicoot 2 & 3
Destruction Derby 2
GTA 2
Metal Slug X
Tekken 3

Great thing is when you convert and compress them, they come to a size of 30-40mb depending whether they had many movies or not, for example crash bandicoot hasn't any, its all real time generated.

LBA would come to 10-20mb ripped without any movies and voice (a guess as the abandonware version is 9mb), or about <200mb with movies and voice (will be much less with only 1 language voice files).

LBA 2 for PSX forever! I still to this day remember seeing beta LBA 2 images on CNETS image search for the PSX. I remember discussing this in another thread. Hasn't anyone ever asked thread in an interview?

Only thing missing......

PSP is now only missing some sort of way to emulate Dos......

Although LBA1 on the PSP is not fully playable, I really think that LBA's will do well if it was officially released on the DS (Sorry, DS has touch screen and i have both PSP and DS).

The thing is, almost every PC owner is likely to play Counter Strike, or World Of Warcraft (anything similar too), online gaming has really gone far. I have almost stopped playing single player games on the PC, therefore I believe that if it was possible for LBA to come out on the DS (DS also is likely to have a better target audience), it will sell well.....

Well.......World Of Wacraft is apparently the most addictive game in the world. People dont even mind paying £9 a month! I find it absurd to pay monthly just for one game......where Xbox Live is much better with a yearly fee with any games that can go online.

Anyway, I dont stop anyone buying their games.......but I know loads that play Counter Strike or World of Warcraft

bla

Thought I'd just drop in and ask why no one has tried doing a quick-n-dirty port of twin-e using the PSP SDL lib? Seems better than using an emulated playstation anyway...

I did for a while but it screwed up some of the lbar scripts which I then couldn't be arsed fixing. I'll probably migrate onto it at some point though.

twin-e isn't finished for pc, I don't think it should be ported until it's atleast relatively playable to the actual games standard

Twin-E doesn't even have water collision yet. When you try to play the game with it normally, you will be stuck at the point where you get to the ski summit in the Hamalayi Mountains because you fall through the ground there.
