Heya all,
I thought I would share a breakthrough discovered last night - following advice from some wonderful people on another forum, I changed the ID of my PSX LBA rip to SLPS 01222. Drum roll...so far, the game is working! I was beside myself with joy last night when the textures all appeared as they should be. If only there were some way to run LBA2 as well...but this is definitely a fantastic start

LBA love for all!

I snapped a couple of the area Im in - Im still pretty much at the start, just heading for the dock. Cant wait to get to Rebellion Island, I loved the music at that part when I first played the game! The controls can be fiddly, and I get a pause before some sections of speech as I compressed the file, but overall its working just the same as it did on my PSone.

Lol, I was trying to think how to make sure that noone thought it was a fake I think the 3rd pic is the best, as you can definitely see some distortion from the light on the screen. Of course, if anyone actually had doubts, I was prepared to take screenies of certain things (eg Twinsen hitting the yellow groboclone with the magicball etc).

I bought my PSone version of LBA from Ebay back in my collecting days - I think it was only about £10. I still have my original big box PC version though from the good ol' days.

I know that many ( if not all ) PS1 games could be emulated on PSP. I don`t say I don`t believe, but I think that if you shoot a clip how you play on your PSP it will be more trustworthy.

Ok, I will do that this evening. But seriously, if anyone has a PSP and LBA on the PSX, they can give it a shot themselves and see how it works with a different ID

Is the experience to play the game in PSP better than in PC or in PSOne?!

hmmm the only thing I've spotted that MIGHT be fake is that the PSP has a quite widescreen format compared with the ratio LBA1 used and those pics seem to have been adjusted to show parts of the original image cause otherwise it would have been stretched in order to be displayed all

yes it's stretched, you just press the Home button to choose display mode, no problem.
