Time Commando!

Haven't seen any mention of Adeline's other game here. The first time through it wasn't too wonderful, what with designated save points and the annoying time limit, but cheat code make this game SOOO fun! Not to mention the music was sweeeet.

Plus the areas and weapons are just super-wacky-cool. It's like history on drugs.

Oh yeah- has anyone ever found the secrets in the ship area (conquistators 1)? I don't think I ever got my secret % over 33. :o

The music wasn't for listening to, it was for playing the game. I loved the ingame midi music.

At the end of feudal japan you need to search around one of the pots at the statue's feet. (I had a lot of trouble there too.)

It is pretty short but it is very fun to replay. (with cheats or on harder difficulty)

I own it too. I think it's quite a good game, except for the strange walking of the maincharacter

I loved all the different timezones, they look quite nice, and I found allmost all secrets, which were also a lott of fun to search for.

My favorite part was definately the Japanese, those swords are awesome!
the modern age is good too, gotta love those dogs!

You can really see the resembelance between time Commando and the LBA series.

Now we're talking about Time Commander

I have the sollution for the Q-tip problem!

You see, in the Imperial Palace you have one room with Stan in it, he attacks you. Stan is a human. If you would put Stan and Twinsen next to each other, you see that Stan is bigger.

In other words, Twinsuniers/Twinsunian are smaller than the average human but they are not as small as Q-tips.

I think they are detailed the same, you can barely see Stans face, at least you notice Twinsens huge bulging eyes.

The more detail a charecter has, the higher the polygon count and the higher the file size.
Stan has better textures, but I think there about the same detail overall.

This is what I've posted about Time Commando in other threads:

--

Time Commando is an utter disgrace to the PC. Console owners put up with that kind of crap but PC owners don't have to. Stay away from it at all costs.

--

It's a mindless shoot/beat-em-up with 3D sprites on pre-rendered backgrounds... the background scrolls as you move forwards and you're not allowed to go back and scroll it the other way! Although it's 3D you can only go forward/back along the line that they have set. And so basically it's boooorrrrrriiiiinnnnnnggggg. This is how games used to play.

--

I thought Time Commando was crap. The guy moves weirdly, like he's an inflatable man or something, you can't go backwards (that just makes it so realistic) and it has cheap MIDI music. Hmph.
