The real question of the moment - Why are they releasing Lemmings for PSP (with horrible gfx I must add) when it is quite obviously best suited to DS?!? Btw - who owns Lemmings since Psygnosis went under?

DeMasked turned out to be a set of Internet API's and such in order to let companys make DS (or PSP, or Xbox or whatever) games online easily.

Apperently it does some very neat stuff, and its all unique and such...allthough at the level it is that stuffs not known from a gameplay aspex. It will probably get some developers interested, and provides options for those not wanting to use Nintendo/Microsofts systems.
But whats so different about it from a consumer perspective wont be knowen for awhile.

According to some sites its Team17 O_o
I dunno if they are just getting mixed up though.

And yes, its quite obviously an ideal game for the DS.

I think we will se a *huge* reduction in digital buttons. Partly to save space on the pad, but purhapes partly because games shouldnt need that many. Not if they have more inteligent interfaces..which seems to be what Nintendo is encourageing.

I mean really, A B X Y Z up, down, left and right. Do we really need that many? Nintendos not only trying to introduce some new technology, but also to make it easier for newcomers. So a reduction would help.

Also another point...I dont think the revolution is one amazing thing, I think its likely to be a mer combination of "neat" features.
We know one; Downloadable games.
We know another minor one; That darn slot can take both size's of discs.
We know the controller will have another one.
Nintendo bought the patent to trackball technology on a controller aparently, I read it on the GamingWorld forums, lemme find the link.

“Microsoft’s positioning has changed as completely and dramatically as one of its new console’s removable faceplates. According to its Xbox executives, it’s (now) not about better graphics. It’s not about better sound (this time). It’s (suddenly) not about more capacity. It’s not about having a custom CPU (or presumably a new graphics processor). It’s not even about the potential Microsoft advantage of launching earlier than your competition. And it’s not about serving as a more affordable Windows Media Center or more powerful Media Center Extender. Surprise, it’s about the games.”
Well what do you know - Ninty's showing had more impact than most people think

Speaking of GamingW, I managed to get into yet another discussion with the result of a topic being locked! How many times has this happened now, 7?

Oh, and DF, that article there, kinda makes me understand why nintendo didn't wanna work with Sony on the CD-SNES-extenstion/Playstation

Yes...thin-end of the wedge.
Allthough I dont believe Sony for one minute was planing the PS3 all along.

That said, Nintendo (as a content producer) was highly concerned with piss-easy to Pirate CD format. Sony didnt care.
Thus the split.

Bah, that's because Nintendo knew the could make oodles-and-oodles of cash by releasing outdated and old games on new consoles and dress them up with prices of $29.99+.

One of the reasons I emulate (besides the fact that I have many of the old games on their original format).

Yes..almost as bad as those stupid dvd makers saleing films over 10 years old isnt it? !!!

On a serious note though, Nintendo makes a lot of money from a small number of releases. (Mario, Zelda).
Normaly a typical Zelda game takes 2-3 years and multi-million pound investiment. Statisticaly, 2/3rd of PS1 games are pirated.
So that would hurt them perhapes fataly if there main income was reduce by that ammoun.
