I'll consider it!
It appears to cost €15 in local shops here, which is still quite cheap for a game.

Consider...pff. The games fantastic.
Not perfect by any means, but original, wonderful art style, technically quite impressive and with a few nice puzzles sprinkled about.
Some nice humour too....from the title screen to the credits.

last time you provided a link for a "bargain" it was with Beyond Good and Evil.
Suffice it to say the package never arrived (yes, they did write they deliver to Poland) and the staff of that site was unresponsive.

Same here, no DS.

I hope one day someone will emulate this for PC (if possible). It looks fantastic!
(no DS as everyone else here and don't intend to buy one soon...)

Do you mean they where fake, just taking cash without doing the actual deliver?

I didn't try a DS emulator, but I think you need the CD or an image of the CD to play it.

a DS takes DS and GBA cards, not CDs.

Anyway, using a DS emulator doesn't seem as fun to play as on an actual DS.

Especially not with the game. The game uses the DS touch screen. I think even one of the game's creators said on the MBN that an emulator would ruin the experience.

It totaly would. Even playing with a stylus/wacom dosnt work that well.
Guess a notebook with touchscreen might be ok though.

Mind you, the time I tried it on an emulator it was laggy with some of the partical effects missing anyway.
Some DS games emulate ok, but not this one.

Damn, it is so expensive (the DS)... but I would buy one *just* to play this. The game's graphics seems fantastic indeed. I very much like the style and the concept.

Could someone who has played it tell more about the gameplay of it though? and why the touchscreen is so important?

Its important because the game relies heavily on your drawing bubbles, splitting them and moving them about.
You have to guide a bubble accross the level, collecting things on the way. Frequently you will have to split your bubble, or manipulate its shape to progress. In some case's drawing new bubbles or capturing things in them.

Specifically a touchscreen, unlike a mouse, lets your cursor jump to the other side of the screen without passing points inbetween. Its possible to emulate this with a mouse by having stylus up/stylus down buttons, but seeing as the game also requires you to press one of 3 buttons for the modes (cut, draw, deflate) while making the stroke it wouldnt be nearly so easy or fluid.

As for getting a DS, depends what you want. I would guess the DSlite might fall in price once the DSi has been out longer. Or you could get a second-hand original big DS.

I wouldnt say getting a DS literally just for Soul Bubbles is worth it though...its a fantastic game but it is a little short. Id recomend playing it in bursts rather then doing it all in one go as you would enjoy it more
