But this is for rebelion island!!
Airships wouldm't be approperate for the Hamalayi landing.
Airships are slow things.
Something could be attacking them from above, but it should be different.
Maybe a land based device catapulting small-granade-like bombs at them?
Or bombs that launch from the cliffs and glide down? (with little small wings?)
--
The bombs from the airships will look identical to those in the game.

Rebels approach from Halayi under a camouflage...the stress is horrible...suddenly they see alarms waking up on bunkers, and understand low-range radars have detected them, so they throw off the camo and speed to the landing points. Unfortunately, as they arent very far, a slim airship jumps over the first mountains and quickly flies on them, firing at them. It's the panic, boats go in every sense to avoid missiles and bullets. The leader's boat is taken as target and its engine dies as it's avoided an other missiles group. The airship turns to throw the death missiles on the defenceless boat, and then the leader throws himself in the air with a catapult and snipes the pilot that is 99% hidden by dark panes of glass... they believe he has missed his target, cause the airship begins to run on them, but in fact it's no more pilot and crashes in the see, just near the leader boat....

This would be possible with a slim airship as the one below, quite quick, dangerous...

Sorry...but that idea is a little bit silly, at least like that.
Its just stretching the pluasable. I mean, they would need a catapult on the boat, ready.
And if the plan was to sneak in, that shouldn't be the case.
At least on rebelion island, its clear they where being attacked for ages, so they would have had time to set up clever ways of taking down the enemies.
I don't think we should use airships twice either. If theres going to be device something attacking them during the landing, it should be completely different.

Not at all uncredible :
Some of the members gave me the idea of an aerial part of the attack : the rebels try to approach the ground as much as possible, to avoid too dangerous ground-sea missiles. But they know they'll be watched out at a moment or another, and they have a second attack phase : they speed toward the ground, and throw then on first defence lines a group of rebels (especially spheros) with catapults that are on the boats.
The mission of them is to bomb the first defence lines by flying with their fold up deletaplan, and then by air to join an area where they have to take a big defence post, with huge autoguns, that threatens the success of the mission.

So when they arrive, unfortunately, an assault airship was not far, and they must use the catapults first to destroy it. Then the leader that has snipped the pilot opens his back deltaplan, and rejoins the boats that went back in formation to continue the assault.

All that is really plausible with the sort of airship shown above, and with that strategy of attack...

Great work DarkFlame!! I really like that airship!

==

BTW - in the Proxima Island museum you can see a propeler exposed there and the inscription says that it comes from "FunFrock II", which was a ship that didn't work too well (I don't remember the exact words they used in the game, but the description was pretty funny). So, couldn't we show a little of what happened with "FunFrock II" in the movie? Ya'know, we might make it a comic moment.

Here is it.
What is IRS exactly ?
--------
15 :
" Rear starboard propeller of the FunFrock 2. It was lost when the ship was launched from Principal island. The boat ran out of gas three days later, and finally stopped turning around in circles. "

16:
" Captain LeBorgne's treasure. This chest contains the fruits of a lifetime of dishonesty. It was seized by the IRS, the only predator known to this terrible pirate. "

17:
" Loan shark. This species of shark belongs to the movie producer family. "

18:
" Reed Boat or Quffa. Primitive boat made from weaved reeds."

19:
" Boarding cannon. "

20:
" Oak barrel. Barrels such as this one were used to serve up the daily rations of rum to the sailors. "

21:
" B¨ian Mermaid. A fine example of the absurdity of ancient superstitions: this statue was found in the middle of a desert. "

22:
" Lifeboat. Do not pierce, burn, or bring into contact with an incandescent object. "

I knew it wasn't an airship, it's just that I remebered it and thought that maybe we could put it in the movie. E.g.: FunFrock is testing his "FunFrock 2" ship when one of his clones informs him of Twinsen's escapade.

But it's a museum, so there are here only quite old facts.....Twinsen's adventure is quite short, if you look, even with the time to travel from an island to another...

It would maybe be better to show the scene as Twinsen visits the museum for the first time (later, he tries to steal the key, goes to jail...)

Maybe FunFrock is about to launch the FunFrock 3 when heis informed of Twinsen's ecape?

BTW: The IRS is the "Inland Revenue Service." They're the guys who are in charge of taxing you.

Regards,
Morden

Yeah. IRS is an obvious taxation joke. The US has the Internal Revenue Service. It's kind of like how the police couldn't touch Al Capone for murder or extortion or anything, but he finally got picked up for tax evasion.
