It was cool yes.

As for no wires...beaming power about ver microwaves is VERY dangerious
You can get competely seperate wireless AV devices though that would work with anything. Probably not worth the cost.

Aren't all signals eventually getting sent out into space? Imagine if the amount of wireless stuff in each household kept multiplying, no wonder the aliens don't reply to our messages.. they get too many pictochat messages to reply to, not realising the DS's wont get their messages.

Intensity of singles fall off with distance and would at some point, become undetectable as background noise overwealms them.

Nope, the reasons Aliens dont reply might be because one of the first things broadcast powerfully enough is from Adolf Hitler.....

Theres quite a lot of footage here, but the sever is weak;
http://soifall.net/

Mario Galaxy looks better each time I see it, and Zelda obviously looks awsume.
However, theres a few other ones that look interesting.

I have to say that Zelda doesn't look very appealing. The makers seem to have surrendered to the whole LOTR style.

ALL the zeldas have that style They also have almost all had a massive spider boss thing.

Its not more based on LOTR then its been before. (Wind Waker was the only real depature, that being a more pirate/ocean based story and featured less tolken-esq stuff.)

In truth, its like any other fantasy thing, elements from tolken, and elements that tolken took from that which came earlier.

Actualy, if anything, this Zelda puts hyrule slightly more modern.
It looks like its verging on fantasy/industral with that massive electromagnet. I half expect ye-old-airships to appear.

I could never get into the 3D Zeldas, I got Wind Waker when I got my gamecube, thought it was great but didn't like the camera. The 2D ones are the best though. And I prefer Golden Sun to Zelda anyday, Four Swords is awesome though.

I dunno. I thought that some of the 2D Zelda's were lame, with the obvious exception of the original and Link to the Past (Wand of Gamelon, anyone? ). I still believe that Ocarina is the greatest Zelda game, if not game in general, made to date. And though it was kinky, Majora's Mask was good too. And I kind of liked the departure from the main story in Wind Waker, and even the Cel (which I didn't at first) shading, but it has grown on me in the same way Majora's Mask did. Kind of a "sidestory." But to me, we haven't seen the *real* Link and Hyrule story since Ocarina of Time, and I'd like to see us return to that.

Man I loved cell shaded Zelda - it was the best thing ever!!! However - WW did not have enough villages or interaction. There was no real incentive to dig up treasure cos all you could buy was flowers. There was too much time in dungeons imo... I prefer the wandering around elements of Zelda games. For the same reson I loved Zelda Link's Awakening, Link to the Past and Minish Cap. All of these were brilliant adventures. I do feel that on the whole Zelda games are a bit formulaic! How about adding an upgradeable weapons system like in RPGs or soemthing. Oh - and if you pick up a boomerang dont make every puzle in that dungeon use a boomerang! At least Minish Cap didn't fall into that trap!

None of the zeldas did that trap, except the Wind Waker.

Wind Waker was very 1-dimensional in its puzzles.

Ocarina, by comparison, normaly had "overall" puzzles to a dungoen, as well as smaller puzzles or multiple puzzles per room.
TWW was pretty much always 1 room 1 puzzle, and no inter-room puzzles.

Simerlaly, Links Awakening had all sorts of stuff going on at once, even if it did have less overall dungoen puzzles.

And Zelda does have an upgradeing weapons system, it just isnt stat based.
If anything it should be less RPG like, and more based on physics.

Not really E3 related I guess, but has anyone heard of a Katamari DS? I read about it somewhere.. It's one of the few games I'd consider buying a PS2 for.

Rumours, and the company is knowen to have some DS project.
Theres been speculation that the DS couldnt handel the physics though, so it might be something else.

Wooden crapy sword.
Master Sword (sometimes in between one)
Biggeron "Knife"
ect

And theres normaly two bomberangs.
(standard, and then a "lock onable" one...or, in the 2D ones case, a stearable one)

Likewises theres sometimes normal bombs, then more powerfull bombs.
And, of course arrows..and all the means to store stuff.

oh, and dont forget shields.

Plenty of upgrades, just no (or little) stats.

Links Awakening called stuff "l2" though. (eg, collect all the secret seashells and you get a nice sword that shoots)

hmz..actualy, if you count both games i wouldnt be supprised if that was true.
But the thing is, in RPG's like golden sun, swords are just about stats (and special effects)

Zelda is more about physical properties.

By all means, Zelda should have lots of items.
But they shouldnt be just "same as before but more powerfull". Each one should do something a big different, imo.

(Like the Shield/ Mirror Shield)

I feel like I've been tortured for three years now. Tortured with candy!

Waited for TP in the beginning was unbearable. Now I've lost all feeling. It's like a carrot that always seems to come a little closer, and then moves away again.

Certainly the sheer joy of finally getting my hands on it will block out the thought of any flaws it might have, yet still, I have no doubt it will be the best Zelda yet.

It's really quite amazing how little we've seen of the game considering how big it supposedly is.

PS: DF, there's a spelling error in your sig...

Well, they did confirm this dosnt mean users cant "swap" games with their friends. (at least, for the moment)
But it will be illegal for shops to sale second hand stuff.

To be honest, I'm not sure how legal it is to STOP people being able to sale second hand stuff...but well...we will see

"Well I hope my friend Reggie [Fils-Aime] sends me one, I don’t know," remarked Moore. "Look I was there when Iwata-san pulled out that thing. I was there in the front row in Tokyo… and I said [to myself] 'You’ve got to give ‘em kudos for trying.' And I’m literally going to go over there tomorrow and try to find Reggie or find Perrin [Kaplan] and I think Mario’s the game… if you’ve got to play one game it’s Mario. I’m sure I’ll get one. Right now I’m trying to get my Brain Age down [laughs]. Look, it’s not partisan; I love what Nintendo is doing. They’re in a different space… and there’s this view now that you buy a 360 for Halo, Grand Theft Auto, Gears of War, all the other stuff we got going, and if you want Metroid, you want Zelda, you want Mario, you go get a Wii. And you put the two together and it’s probably the same price as the PS3."
Microsoft seems keen on the Wii again.

MIcrosoft are very clever in sidelining Nintendo whilst trying to let Nintendo fans know it's ok to own a Wii and a 360! Clever marketing - and beneficial (in some ways) for Nintendo
