Ok.. hm, say, if there's more than one way to spell a topic should I enter all possible spellings?

Me: How many ants does the average aardvark eat in one lifetime?

2 hours later:

Robert: On average, around one and a half million ants. More in areas where there are more ants than termites.

Ok, Aardvark is officially amazing

And wait, it says Robert is friends with Darkflame. Where do you get friends who know how many ants the average aardvark eats in one lifetime??

Not sure. Probably yes, for now.
They do do some semantic logic though, and send you related subjects. So its not purely word based.

Haha I got my first question today, which regrettably was "what is the score in the 5th day of the ashes" based on my topic of cricket.

And the questions I asked got pretty solid answers, at least what I expected, I just wonder if anybody can be bothered attending those stupid questions like: what will my day have today? or how can i make my life better?

Interesting thing for sure though.

Did you put life as one of your topics?

I get questions like "how can I remote control my iPod Touch from my computer?". I knew the answer to that one .

Stupid questions probably normally get fairly stupid answers.

I've getting a few css/html coding questions recently.

Google just bought Aardvark.
http://www.googlelabs.com/
http://vark.com/about
"In February 2010 Aardvark was acquired by Google, and continues to operate as part of the Google family of products."

...
I don't like this.

Facebook or Microsoft were the alternative buyers.

Sure, ok. But it would be much better for everyone if no one would buy it and it'd just remain its own company.

There are a lot of things to go wrong about Google, but I'd say they are probably still a bit better than Microsoft.

Of course they are. But it's still sad to see every time a new company with a great product pops up, it's bought by a giant.

This is why I don't like it.

I don't mean to be fatalistic here, but it's quite possible that's what they wanted all along - invent some great idea and then have google buy them...

Not arguing with that... nobody forced them to sell their company.

I agree as in independents it would be better. We want more small company's in the world, not fewer bigger ones.
But apparently I read the staff were ex-Google people anyway, so its not that surprising really.

Id be interesting to see where it goes from here. Potentially there userbase is going to skyrocket pretty quickly. Hopefully they can get better at sending questions to the right people, and filtering out questions not ""worthy"" of bothering people (ie me) with,

Very interesting. Signing up now. Let's see how it goes...

EDIT: Ok, got my question answered.
To mock the thing, and to obviously get an answer quickly rather than formulating anything too specific, I asked: "what's the fastest way to get laid for free?".

Answer was pretty good actually: "Try Craig's List (answer some sex ads or post your own)" . So here's the holy grail guys, what you waiting for?
