More random bits;
PilotWings 3DS, Starfox 64 3DS and Paper Mario 3DS announced.
All but the first are probably remakes/ports I think.

Yup. Just hope its got something new or comes with Majoras Mask. Got it enough times already now :P

I'm a little worried now about how many remakes the 3DS has now though. Even ones of this standard. Hope they are spaced out well with the new games.

Pilot Wings 3DS seems to be set on the same island as Sports Resort and Party.

Random other 3ds screens;

A few of Zelda: Skyward Sword

I'm really liking the watercolourish style.

Had to laugh at Gabe Newell appearing at the Sony conference. Should be interesting to see if Valve doesn't put out a piece of shit this time around, or if we see future titles (L4D?) appearing on the Sony consoles.

Oh, and in other news,

Zelda will be orchestrated
http://uk.wii.ign.com/articles/109/1098643p1.html
and the HUD is temp and can be switched of anyway;
Quote:
In Zelda, is the HUD a work in progress, with the on-screen controller? It was designed and implemented for E3. Will it change? Yes. At E3 we're throwing a lot of things at you at once, and we made something for people to quickly understand. We've had HUD in past Zelda games, and you've always had the option to turn it off with a button.

Tower of Shadow;

Quite glad to hear EA is exclusively porting Dead Space Extraction from the Wii to the PS3 with Move capabilities to go along with Dead Space 2. Awesome.

I hear that the 3DS is finally closing another Genre hole in the handheld/Nintendo market. Fighting games! So far, Super Street Fighter 4 3D and Dead or Alive 3D are confirmed. Smash Bros DS? Please!

We can dream...

I'm loving the sound of the Augmented Reality possibilitys of the 3DS;

Quote:
“Here comes augmented reality folks: in this demo, you aim the 3D cameras (on the outside of the system) at a card with a Mario-style question block, and when it locks onto the position of the card a creature forms out of it. Once he pops up, you tilt the system to maneuver a targetting reticule to blast at the virtual creature. The effect is pretty spectacular as the surface around the card will fold up like a box before it lets the creature out. One of the more impressive aspects: apparently the use of two lenses enables the system to triangulate distance from the system. When the game was saying “get 18 inches away from the card” it was actually counting off the inches of how far away you were. Basic but nifty.”

You can see lots of youtube, but it would just look like a DS with better graphics really.
Blury in some shots due to the 3d not being picked up by the camera.

The 3ds is steroscopic 3d which comes out quite bad on cameras (unlike headtracking 3d which looks great on camera).

Unfortunately I can't find a video of the Augmented Reality demo

It just requires you to put your head in roughly the right place.
The screen projects its light into two subtly different directions corresponding to each eye using a different image for each.

They have a pretty good experience description in the Engadget preview (note: the dude wearing sunglasses is a bit confusing; you do not need glasses for it to work)

I guess all we can do really is wait to see it irl in a shop.

LBA, just like Zelda,and BG&E, is not good because it has a fantastic "large scale" plot, but for the details and characters within its landscape. Its the smaller scale stuff that makes the world feel alive and a cut above everything else.

yeah, i loved BG&E because of its animationsthat used face expressions and not only for its plot/gameplay but unfortunately i got a small annoying Slaughterhouse no key drop crash bug
btw i dint paid attantion to E3, was there any news about BGE2?
also why blizzand made its own con instead of using E3?
