Basically a decade back they put software on their music CDs that if used in a PC would secretly install itself and prevent you ripping them - worse - it broke quite a few peoples pcs.

Sony's funniest "dodgy thing" however, is they invented a fake movie critic just to promote their movies (you know the quotes you see on posters - they invented a guy just to have fake quotes )
neither particularly awful, got nothing serious then?

protip, if you lightly rub the mic entrance with a finger during those firebreath attacks you will never miss a shot. Kinda silly having to resort to stuff like this, I know. I think the problem is that the DS's mic has a very narrow angle in which you have to blow for it to register

exactly.
I think pressure ultimately came from companies like EA and Ubisoft - big publishers wanting to get a higher % back on investments and not knowing how.
Microsoft, desperate for as much publisher support as possible, thought this would attract them.

Microsoft hasnt been doing too well recently, but they got a lot of money in reserve from past success's.
And by "a lot" its enough to keep everyone of their staff employed for years even if they make no money whatsoever.

Wait....was that a joke, or do you really think secretly installing stuff on peoples pcs without their knowledge that then breaks the pcs is "nothing serious" O_o

They indeed lost mountains of money, but I have heard that the Xbox pre-sales have already surpassed the PS4 ones after that announcement.

They should cry over that. I mean, they are still extremely rich, but that "mistake" surely caused the loss of milions of dolars.

Why did you quote my entire post, and not only the part that interested you? lol

And I don't know about that, I'm just saying that if what he said realy happened then there Is a reason to take it serious. And even loss of data, that's still ignoring the costumers rights. What if someone had a realy important file, and lost it? What if someone was doing their graduation work on the computer and they lost it?

Is it me, or you're saying that if someone lost an important piece of work that has mounts of efforts in it because of that, it is in no way Sony's fault ?

Ok Twinsan, that is just stupid.
You are saying nothing else than that you approve what microsoft tried to do with all of us ,because from what I understood you think people deserved to lose all their files and important work because they Borrowed a Music CD. That's the same as borrowing a game and having to pay for it to use, or be unable to use it.

Please, I don't want to argue with this anymore. Everyone here made their points and I don't think we should further this discussion.
Have a good night

Again, please end this. I don't like the way this thread conversation is going to and I'd like it we changed the subject for once.

I don't realy care if he mocked at me or was a jerk. That's the way he is, and I also have many flaws. Lets just move on and let this be.
