Games with cool gimicks (FPS-Time only moves when you do)

Brilliant online FPS demo here;
http://superhotgame.com/

Really stylish. The gimmick is simple; Time only moves when you do.
Thus it turns a FPS into a much more tactical thing.

But its also really really pretty, shows of what Unity can do well.

Waow, this looks interesting. I just finished the Stanley parable, I have the feeling the FPS games I'm playing are the weirdest games ever

I played the old (mod) version of Stanley Parable. Was very cool. A bit like that film "Stranger Then Fiction".

AntiChamber should probably go on the crazy FPA/S list too.

And this new kickstarter "scale";

I'm not sure if Scale would go in the "FPS" list... it looks much more like a puzzle game that uses a diferent kind of gun then a fps game. If Scale goes in that list, then Portal 1 and 2 should too.

Stanley Parable isnt a FPS either really.
Thats why I was saying FPS/A (Adventure).

But yes, Portals would go on that list.

1. True Action Adventures (LBA,Zelda,BG&E)
2. Crazy Physics First Person games (ie, this thread!)

I guess not necessarily first person either though, given I loved Mario Galaxy mostly due to the feeling of the physics.

I just love a truly alien only-possible-in-a-computer experience. Messed up space and time is a great way to do that!

Because the game this threads about (http://superhotgame.com/) is very much a FPS.
I was just using FPA/S to try to cover everything being discuses.
