Oh well you may aswell have a working version of it just to fill up your model library. It's fixed and works in R4 (tested).

Yep, which one to choose depends on how realistic we want to make the movie.

They're both good trees... but Pheonix's is very LBAish. I like them both for different qualities.

Well, I'm not sure myself
It really comes down to the texturing. I just thought a solid tree would look to weird in a movie.

The middle is the best I think too , even if it looks a little ... dirty...
But in the hundreds of trees of twinsen, it will be different types I hope, no ?

Hem... the trees is one point, but about the animals ?
We only see some horses and snow weasels in LBA1. Even if we see in LBA2 some dogs, birds...
How many will they be in the game ?

Hmmm, I think the type of tree to use would all depend on the style in which the movie is going to be created. If you're going for "realism" , I'd go for the one on the left, but the middle one would fit in nicely.

But as HS said, you're the boss. Do what you think's best.

Hmmm, since no-one is posting smilies, I'm starting to doubt myself... The middle one is just a screenshot from the game, right? I was joking when I said the middle one, because I thought it was just a screenie.

of course, that's just I thought the trees had to match more the game's , but a little less "dirty", more clear...

Of course its a screenshot
I thinka balance has to be made between realism and game-ism.
Personaly, I think the tree should have leafs, reather then be solid.
Firephoenix- The OTHER type of tree is:

Ya I like that tree.

You could add an alpha texture on the brances too in the genlocking channel so it looks like leaves, be even better, althought the shadows could be rather time consuming to render.

What about a Desert Island like tree? (I know it's badly textured etc.), but is that the style you'd want it?

Looks pretty good!
But I'd have to compare it to the game.

I can't remember any trees, but that's probably because I haven't played the game for quite some time.

Well, the tree above looks nothing like the ones on Desert Island, but it's a nice one.

I don't see why the trees should need to be identical to those on desert isle (which are frankly not very good), this would make a nice scenery break from all the lifeless stumps. Maybe it could be used in the transition from Desert to thriving garden (with the flute) just with the addition of a few flowers.
