GAME ON Exhibition.

Just thought Id let you know the exclent GameON computer game exhibition is heading to Holland:
http://www.cube-europe.com/news.php?nid=4024

Ive been to both the London one, and the Scotland one.
Both were excelent, and well worth the money.
Allthough the London one did have quite a few things the scotland one didnt.

Its well worth a viste, as long as your not a graphics nut or anything.

What did it cost to go to it? It looks really cool and isn't really far from me (just a 2 hour trip or so), so if it isn't outragiously expensive, I'll definately go to it. (Big N) gaming history is so cool.

It was pretty expensive I seem to recall .. In the order of £11 a ticket? But I might not be remembering right ...

Seriously, that is actually very cheap. I will probably go, I mean: will there be any classic gaming? YES! The site loved it, and so did DF and demonixz...

Its extreamly cheap considering its one huge arcade (all machines free once your in)

oh, yer, and theres some writting and stuff

I strongly recomend Tempest, a real classic arcade game that just has to be played with its original "Dial" controll.

going in a group is good, because theres lots of mutiplayer stuff.
From Pong to Halo

She's probably from Lithuania. (bad joke)

Game exhibition? Is it a big one? I thought those were only open for journalists and such (except Tokyo Game Show and such)

Yes, its open to the public.

But its quite different, as its a exhibition of the art of gaming, the history of gamming.
Its not just rows of new machines, its a "history", from the first game (Spacewar) onwards.
Almost everything, even the old machines, are playable

No, it's not an expo or something, 'just' an exhibition

I've been there and it was really cool

If there are some more peeps going, I'd love to drop around again

Pong on the HUGE screen was pretty damn cool - as was playing the (almost) original SpaceWar on a vectrox

Not to mention just going back through so many gaes I remember being new .. Crazy nostalgia trip, not to mention the fact that the majority of them were pretty damn stunning
